Where can we place a toll transponder on the windshield?

Emiras don't (currently) have heated windshields, so is it OK to put a toll transponder anywhere on the windscreen (eg, the customary place by the rearview mirror base), and it won't be shielded? If anyone can confirm, I'd appreciate it. I found no mention in the Owner's Manual...

I have my French Liber-T peage tag right behind my rear view mirror. It works fine there.

Does anyone know the model number of this connector? This connector is located behind the glove box and is not used. However, I found out that this connector can take accessory power (ACC) and constant power (battery).

I live in SoCal, and have my Fastrak Transponder sticker placed right behind the rearview mirror, basically top dead center of the windshield.

I have windshield protection film on top of that plus ceramic coating, and I haven't had any issues with it being picked up by the toll cameras.
