What things annoy you on Emira?

I hate that I have to have the door open for the seat preset to automatically move vs holding the button.

The only thing on the list that I find annoying are the steering wheel touch pads, which I replaced with buttons so that's not an issue anymore. I thought the steering wheel would be weird before I used it but I was instantly comfortable with the shape. I use 9 and 3 and cross arms so I rarely need to touch any other part of the wheel, maybe that's why it feels perfectly natural to me.

Drove 16k miles in 4 months.

actually annoying:
-carplay crashes on roadtrips or just crashes in general (fix is just to get gas so the car resets on/off)
-lagging screens and input lag
-no tire temps (even tho its the same sensor as the supra that has temps)
-any tow hook or license plate on the front throws the driver front sensor
-auto highbeams (even tho they have the hardware for it already installed on the car. 2026 has it)

would be nice:
-temps don't have an option to make it accurate
-limited trunk storage because of heat
-wheel buttons not touch buttons (can be replaced. aftermarket)
-Proximity unlock door/trunk (I understand the security need but it would be nice just to have it default off with a warning when you turn it on. or at least have it timed where after x hours it doesn't work)
-Auto Brake Hold (this is software update they can easily add. in tour on red lights just engage the parking brake. you can just do this at each red light but would be nice to have automated)
-customize modes
-customize track dash to show tire pressure when navigating
-adaptive cruse control (only miss it when there is traffic and 2026 has it)
-LSD option for autos (there is aftermarket for both v6 and even i4 now)
-rear tow hook?
-usb in glove box
-wireless charging somewhere (aftermarket fix)
-easier way to open the front
-remote hold button to roll windows up or down
-remote start
-lotus app to track: gas/millage/car-gps/key/unlock/press to start
-better cooling (fixed in 2026 models)

In regards to tire temperature sensor, I'm not familiar with the supra's tire temperature monitoring, but I assume it's the same unit as the TPMS? For tire temperatures, surface temp might be more important in which case you'd need multiple sensors in the wheel wells aiming at the tires.

As already stated, US cars do not have an remote window down feature.

My biggest "wants" from the factory would be proximity unlocking so I don't have to get my key out every time I want in the car and an oil pressure (+/- oil temp) gauge. I'd also love an option to have round "analog" tachometer and speedometer. The race mode display isn't bad, but sometimes I want my exhaust quieter.

Edit: How could I forget the seats! They're comfortable but not supportive. I also feel way too high up, I'd forgo heated/power seats if it meant they were closer to the floor.

The tire temps in the Supra was good enough for me. I can feel the grip difference based on the temps displayed

Top of the seat only comes up to my neck. Extremely awkward.
Seats have way too much "fluff" and the bolstering crap.
Seating position makes my knees touch under the dash / steering sometimes.

I'm not as tall as you but I do struggle to find a perfect combination of
- knees not hitting
- wheel as low as possible with revs still visible
- seat not too upright

If wheel could be pulled closer to driver (as in other cars), then this would be perfect

Yeah, being tall in the Emira brings compromises(6’2”). Shins hit the bottom of the dash.
Did the “Taste of Lotus “ 13/9/25 and the engineer said “you can thank the US for that” (some sort of crash/safety structure) as a tube sits just above my shins.

@PatrickJS I've had a front plate on for 12+ months using the GRP front plate mount and never had a single false-positive from a PDC sensor. were you using a different plate mount?

The OP mentioned in the video their are no rear speakers; is anyone able to confirm?

For me it sounds as though the sound only comes from the door speakers.

I cannot detect music from rear speakers, neither is their a control to move the sound bias towards the rear.

I found below UK market video where they discuss the Emira KEF system having rear speakers, so I'm confused, did the US market not get the rear speakers?

I use Apple Music and Car Play, is their possibly something in that setup that needs adjusting to get sound from rear speakers?

This was my response to this same pos ton FB. There are speakers in the back.

There is a rubber gas area flap that can be installed that drapes down over the body to protect it when filing up. Available on Amazon. Works great. I pull the gas nozzle out after filling and twist the handle so the spout is pointing up and that keeps fuel from spilling on the car.

There are two mid bass speakers at those upper locations in the rear. They don’t produce much sound but they are there in addition to the sub.

You can replace the haptic steering wheel controls with non haptic. That is a simple but huge upgrade.

You can use voice commands for turning on the seat heaters. That work much easier if you replace the haptic steering wheel controls.

Also, the voice command works two ways. Short press works with built in car systems. Long press works with CarPlay.

I’m with you on the proximity entry not being there and a button at the rear hatch to open it. That seems standard nowadays.
