I was torn between Tour and Sport suspension, and in the end I ordered Tour.
I've been very happy with my suspension, and happy that I made the correct decision. (10K miles down..)

Then I came across a post that says you can identify the suspension from what is printed on the springs, so out of curiosity I went to have a look.

I found this... WTAF?!
I double checked my order paperwork and indeed it says Tour. If I had found this one week after buying the car I would have been pissed. But two years later I really like how it drives and I'm not worried.

Others may want to check their cars..

Not driven the tour so have nothing to compare with, but from what I've read there isn't a huge difference to sport.

A man of culture I see :)

I'm not surprised by this. I drove sports and touring suspension back to back on my test drives - I found them to be very similar, perhaps more "information" through the steering and seat of your pants with the sports suspension. I thought different tyres or tyres pressures might in fact make more of a difference. Although you could probably tell the difference on track.

FWIW: my car came from a dealer's lot with sport suspension. On normal roads and freeways, this is fine, great even. However, driving up in the North California mountains with the G'awful roads, the sport suspension is not passing the wife test. I'm still considering changing the suspension eventually.

I don't know how to check?
I'm curious to know if MiamiBlue's VIN tells him it's sport suspension, like his observed physical set-up...OR if not only the physical set-up is wrong (not as ordered), but the VIN matches what he ordered and says the car has touring suspension . Over to you MiamiBlue (lol; it rhymes...you know it, I'm a poet).

Did sport suspension come with only Michelin Cup 2's, yours has Goodyear. Perhaps a claim for a new set of tyres due to their error is in order? 🤔😏

So the Chassis is SPORT (I wonder if someone else out there has a TOUR car and thinks it's Sport?)
Also of note the manufacturer date suggests 2022. But the car was registered late 2023 and came with tyres dated 2023.
It looks like they swapped the wheels on the car at some point. The plot thickens..

In the US, you could spec sport suspension with Cup 2's or Goodyears. Don't think this is the case everywhere though.

Yeah, you could always option either tyre with sport chassis here in the UK too, IIRC.

For what it's worth, I found the sport setup ever so slightly more "jiggly" over high-frequency bumps (the difference was totally obvious on the test drive route, so props to Lotus Silverstone for the route they set up) and so I opted for tour 60% due to WAF 😅

I guess it's fine and no-harm-no-foul if you're happy with how if feels, but if you really want to check the difference, drop me a PM (or find someone closer, but I'm always up for an excuse to go for a drive :))
