No it doesn't come with PPF fitted. Lotus were looking into offering as an option as discussed in another thread somewhere on this forum but we are still waiting for more news. I suspect others such as Tom will have more information on recommended suppliers you can trust in the UK as they have had it done on previous cars.

It's been covered on a few threads. Lotus said back in January they were looking into offering it as a factory-fit option. Pros and cons to that.

Your local dealer will probably have a couple of specialist fitters they use, so worth taking their advice.

To get some ideas on options and pricing, this is one of the specialists I've used - they do a lot of sports and supercars so are familiar with tackling more complex curves:

And this is pricing from the Kent Lotus dealer:

Hmmm… what about the front gloss black splitter. And the kick plates under the doors (these have me most concerned, mainly entry/exit scratches). These images don’t make it clear.

Absolute must for PPF I'd say!

These are standardised packages. Essential includes full cills and Full Kit is everything.

Usually I’d talk to the PPF installer about the details of what to cover and add/remove areas from a standard package as required.

From previous experience If you are doing a lot of motorway driving then PPF is probably a good option if not and you are using it as a weekend car a good ceramic coat will be good enough, although not perfect the car probably won't require a respray in the short term.

The other way i look at it is if the car is a long term keeper then go for PPF, if its not and you are only keeping it 1 to 3 years then go for a good ceramic coat, between £300 - £800 its good value against PPF.

If you do a lot of A- and B-road driving and are often stuck behind other traffic at 40-60 mph on dirty roads then front PPF is a good way to minimise front stone chip damage and gravel rash.

So maybe a mix of front end PPF and a ceramic coat would be a good idea to keep the cost down.

Another thing is that I know a super car dealer and he has told me he gets a lot of customers clearly stating that they don't want a car thats got or had PPF on in the past and this sometimes times can be a deal breaker when trying to get sales done.

I’m not sure car is expensive enough to warrant full PPF tbh. I’ll go front only I think….

I wouldn’t recommend NVN. Quality work but way too expensive

Curious. Why would someone not want a car that’s been looked after?

There’s definitely complications that can arise. Ppf can be a serious pain to remove correctly and can lead to paint lifting if done incorrectly or if covered on a poorly painted surface. For exotics it’s usually a completely custom job where they aren’t plotting out a premade template which means in order to cut the ppf it needs to be done by scoring the film on the car. This means based on the installer’s talent there could be cuts on the paint if the installer presses too hard while scoring. And finally if you get a front end only wrap and remove it even a few years of it being installed will leave you with a color mismatch from UV damage to the paint on the ppf vs no ppf sections.

Makes zero sense….. most Supercars have PPF…. It’s simple to remove & update as well, so hardly a barrier to purchase?
Lamborghini come with it as standard & can be ordered from the factory with Ferrari & Porsche….
I’m still not going full car for Emira, but that’s purely down to cost of PPF vs. Car value, only makes sense to me on front only…. £200k+ supercar it’s a must surely?

More down to quality of firm doing the work I’d say?
