P0116 Code - Anyone had this?

Went to start the car for the first time today and it wouldnt catch. It turned over but then failed to ignite. Did this twice and then on the third time it caught and started but with a check engine light. There didnt appear to be any power restriction.

Got home and plugged in the OBD and its saying its an Engine coolant temperature sensor error. I've cleared it and will see if it comes back but anyone had any experience with this?

Seems Emira life is 'clear code - hope it doesnt come back. They should issue a port reader at purchase, might save them a fortune in dealer visits.

Exactly this. I did this two times already. They already threw in a battery tender, might as well.

Better yet, give it a button on the dash!

Well it came back again today. Same issue, turned over twice without catching, caught on the third time but with rev's limited to 4000.

Oddly though, turned it off for twenty minutes whilst in a shop, came back and whilst the engine light is still on its giving me full revs.

Guess I'm going to have to contact the dealer since its a second time occurence.
