No side intake grilles?!

So are the grills and the water lip on a bulletin, if you don’t haven them? Mines going in for a service shortly and would like them fitted if they’re FOC.

Of note another 2025 fix seems to be a little rubber lip where the rear hatch would drain into the boot. I have one but have heard that wasnt present on the 2024s.
Would you have a picture of this rubber lip please - I'm trying to visualize where/how this would be?

I assume it is in the gap between the glass and hatch body, there is a very small lip already but doesn't prevent water ingress.

Ill try to take a picture of it at home tonight. In the meantime imagine the underside of the hatch and a little rubber seal glued to edge where the water pours off of. It extends it maybe a half inch. It doesn't actually stop water from coming in but rather makes it so it misses the storage boot and lands into that catch channel easier.

Interesting, but does that simple rubber trim really stop water from dripping in to the engine bay when the lid is opened? Seems like the most it would accomplish is to help guide water to the edges, but perhaps you can share if it has been in fact effective or not. Thanks

Update... I went to check on my Emira's rear trunk lid and, while I never really noticed it before, I found that same rubber trim there. Mine is a November 2023 build. Obviously, I don't know how much water seeped through before Lotus place that trim, but in my case, when water accumulates on the rear lid and I raise it, water still drips into the engine bay. Perhaps what this trim accomplishes is to direct water flow away from entering the trunk compartment.

For those asking about a potential service bulletin, maybe this is just a parts rationalization / simplification move by Lotus as opposed to some specific problem where mesh is needed on the vents. The 4 cylinder always had the mesh, right? Why have two parts numbers for side grills when you can just have everything manufactured the same way for both engines?
