New V6 versus Turbo 4 video

I disagree with his conclusion, but then again, I chose a V6/MT as my car.

He compares the exhaust note of the V6 in Tour mode versus the I4 in Track mode. That's kinda unfair. I agree that the I4 delivers power better and the DCT has more ratios and faster shifting, but the exhaust note is one place the V6 wins definitively, even with the 3rd cat in place.

He should have compared a V6 auto with paddle shifters, but maybe they didn't have one to lend him.
By the way, in another video he weighed the Emira at 3,249 pounds

Not to mention he says the redline for the V6 is 6200…

i4 was always going to be faster with the same power and a much quicker changing gearbox, but sounds better?

Turbo is faster but V6 definitely sounds better, can't argue with that even I have a downpipe and exhaust upgraded.

If you, "get tired of shifting during tail of the dragon" then the Emira is probably not the right car for you.

First person I've heard say the 4 cylinder sounds better than the v6 too. I guess this is why we're given all these options - to each their own!

He had the V6 in tour mode and the AMG in track mode, of course they'll sound different. The AMG has a turbo muffling it, and 2 fewer cylinders. Can't sound as good, IMO.

Not sure if it's the turbo's exhaust note that's superior to the 6 or the myriad of other noises that come with it....waste gate, turbo flutter, bov, plus the exhaust whack you get on wot going through the gears.....a lot of theater imo.

I strongly dislike that it's an artificial exhaust noise being pumped in, but my god do I love the BOV
