Hi All,

Was anyone else very disappointed when the configurator was released for the FE manual, as you could no longer have the alacantra with contrasting stitching and matching centre stripe?

Lotus confirmed on the phone this was only for the AMG engine and not the manual, which makes no sense. I complained but it seemed to be on deaf ears.

Why have it with one car and not the other?

The steering wheel makes quite a big difference to me and think the plain black looks dull.

Has anyone heard anything different to me at any of the roadshows etc? Really hoping they change their mind and can sort this before final deposits as this is definitely an options I would want.

Cheers

Yes, we’re all disappointed/surprised by this. Apparently a supply issue, but Lotus are looking into it.
Glad they are looking into it. Hopefully they can sort it out. If enough complaints, they will have to listen. Makes big difference to the interior of the car IMO

Yea, Lotus have heard the feedback and are trying to resolve with their supplier. It’s affected by supply contracts and volumes.

If it’s not resolved then it can easily be done by a trim specialist after delivery and usually cheaper than the option price.

If it makes that much of a difference to you, cancel your order. That'll show them!!!

Let me move up on the waiting list. Haha.

I think it's a big confusion that LOTUS make the manual version no stripe.
Personlay I prefer a steering wheel without such a stripe, because if there is any deviation make the stripe not at the very middle of the upper part of the steering wheel, or the car doesn't go straight even if I aim the stripe at the straight line , I will be mad!:(

Has anyone heard any updates from Lotus regarding supply of the wheels with the TDC markers? I would have thought they’d now be in a better position to offer them to the manual buyers…

When we were at the factory on Friday it was still "being looked at" with the supplier. I've accepted I probably won't get it as a factory option and if I want it will have to get it done after delivery. I guess for deliveries sometime beyond June they might get it sorted.

That‘s my plan exactly!
I‘ll do that after the delivery asking a specialist to do that for me. Maybe with some real carbon parts! 😎

Dealers are happy to do the TDC stripe and matching stitching before collection, but, of course, that is only if you are having the car delivered to a dealer. Same with the black LOTUS rear badge and tailpipes for those who haven't ordered the Black Pack.

I have resigned myself to taking this approach...

I really want the color stitched interior but don’t want alcantara. I assume that cannot be done

Or have home delivery or collect from factory, then have your dealer do it after you get it home? But dealer delivery is probably easier if you want some things done immediately like PPF and badge changes.

Exactly that. Less hassle and more convenient for me this way - have already discussed this with Jamie.
