I am debating doing some sort of heritage of GT4 inspired livery.
Just curious what others have done and if you can post pics.
Thanks

I could not find a pic on the Lotus site, but I assume it looks the same as this Type 38 Jim Clark drove. I think they tried to recreate that look with the Emira Clark Edition.I personally like the straight stripe on the front - Like on the #9 on the Type 38 on the Lotus website
Yes, I thought the same thing when I saw the Hilton Moss GT4 livery. I have a few months before I do the PPF so I just want to mull over things. I kind of started with the Type 25 Edition look, and want to tweak it a bit. The Clark Edition has wider stripes for example, and I wonder if they suit the car better than the skinnier stripes on the Type 25 Edition. Type 25 pics are attached.respect the idea, but I see this a a lot of Ferrari. Reminds me of a Platypus bill. Very popular on the 296 GTB
Wow, that looks great. Do you mind taking some pics from the front and back?Decided to do the team lotus graphic to go with the straight stripe as on the early cars. As the original team lotus logo and associated pinstripe were always parallel to the ground, following one of the various contour lines on the door did not appeal to me so I shortened it. I wanted the logo higher on the door and the area under the mirror was the best place to put it as it’s one of the flattest areas on the side of the car but still tricky to get it looking straight due to the changing surface movement.
The fellow that did the PPF found the color - it’s an exact match to the brake calipers and the yellow on the Lotus “bottle cap” on the front bumper. It is produced by 3M and fortunately for me was available in 1 foot widths as that was the best width to my eyes on the Emira. I laid out the stripe’s location with blue line tape for the installer to aid his application. He then installed the PPF over it. I had enough material left after the stripe application that I had a local graphics company print the Team Lotus graphic out on it so it also matches. You can see what the stripe looks like from the front on my ID graphic. Will try to take some photos when I get the timeWow, that looks great. Do you mind taking some pics from the front and back?
How did you figure out the exact colour of yellow?
I am just outside Toronto Canada so hoping to do all of this once the spring weather arrives, but love what you did. Thanks for sharing.
There is one coming to Canada, but I don't know if it has sold yet.Good luck to those who do the special graphics; post LOTS of photos of the finished product.
As for the Clark Edition, I'm surprised the HP remains the same and the brake calipers are red, rather than yellow, but that's just me. It's not like the original car had red calipers. Will be interesting to see the pricing and if they sell out, with only 60 produced. Any Forum members plan to snag one?
Thanks for that info. I do appreciate it. I have about five months to think about things, so sometime next spring we will see what I finally go with. Good to know what width you went with. The fellow that did the PPF found the color - it’s an exact match to the brake calipers and the yellow on the Lotus “bottle cap” on the front bumper. This one, where it just stays straight, does not widen in the front,I could not find a pic on the Lotus site, but I assume it looks the same as this Type 38 Jim Clark drove. I think they tried to recreate that look with the Emira Clark Edition.
Thanks for taking the time to post that. This one, where it just stays straight, does not widen in the front,
I did not realize Gemini could do that. I will give that a try. Thanks doe posting those pics.Give Google Gemini and Chat GPT a try to generate livery design ideas - here’s a few. I can make a few more of you want to iterate.View attachment 73680
