There should be a fair number of Emiras on order in Japan, but I'm guessing not a large representation on this forum due to language and cultural differences. It would be fun to see where forum members are located.

As Japan was the biggest market with Elises and Exgies, additional orders were accepted, I think.

Yes, that's what I heard too, although not sure how many "additional" spots were created. I joined the party after the FE had been sold out and reserved a Base V6, but asked my dealer to put me in for a FE if there was an opening. Either there was a cancellation or I got an "additional" spot, I will be getting the FE V6 probably in early 2023.

BTW, I ordered Dark Verdant (lower Black Pack only) + Tan + Black Gloss.

Really? Only 2 forum members in Japan out of 200 or more Lotus Emira First Edition orders? For those who have not yet joined this community, I recommend doing so now: delivery will start in various parts of the world before us, and a great deal of information will be shared here.

日本国内で200台以上ものロータス「エミーラ」ファースト・エディション予約があったにもかかわらず、この掲示板に出入りしているのは2人だけというのはちょっと信じがたいですね。日本より先に世界各地で納車され始めるので、最新情報を求めている人にとってココは有益だと思います。(検索キーワードを入れまくってみた)

In Japan, there were 200 units available for initial orders in October 2021.
A quota was added when the car was displayed at the Tokyo Auto Salon in January, but the number is unknown.
After being displayed at the Tokyo Auto Salon, it seems to have headed to Australia.

By the way, are the specifications finalized when you order? Do you think it can be changed before production?
I'm not sure if I want the normal suspension or the sport suspension.

One piece of information.
It seems that the design of the shift area of the 6MT model will be changed from the design of the exhibited car.
This is probably because the parking switch cannot be placed as it is now.

That is what I heard at the TAS2022 booth, and I asked my dealer to put me in the FE queue if there were openings.
私も会場で枠が増えるかもしれないという話を聞いて Base 待ちから FE 待ちに切り替えたい旨を営業さんに伝えました。翌週には自分の分の枠が確保できたと連絡があり注文書を取り交わしました。

My understanding is that you can still make changes after you sign the pre-order form (予約注文書) and pay 10%, but is finalized when you sign the purchase order (自動車注文書). Any changes after that may result in a later delivery date.

Yes, that was a demo car anyway, so not surprised. Maybe they'll make space for a FE badge like the AT model.

Hello, everyone.
I ordered my FE on October 29th.
The rep told me that they were able to secure the production for April.
By the way, my specs are Ninbus grey, red leather, diamond cut forged wheels, red calipers, full black pack.
I will post here if I have any information.

I heard some cars maybe arrive in April to May, but due to the delays, dealers are not quite sure for the date, so they decide not to tell specific date for the customers until they can be sure. And also, the PDI is getting long time, heard from friend in Yokohama.
4〜5月に来るらしいと噂は聞いていますが、ディーラーさん曰くは日程が不確定すぎるので顧客には伝えられていないそうです。またPDI(自動車納車前整備)にも時間がかなりかかると噂を聞いています。

I had thought it was a pretty-much-final-Japan-spec-production-model car, not necessarily a to-be-delivered-Customer-car. If it were, I'd love to hear from the new owner! Oh wait, is it yours?

Wish it was mine but no. I joined rather late in the game with a April 2022 deposit so don't think I'll be seeing my emira any time soon.

Wonder also what demo car means. Passed Japan regulations allowing for actual drive on public roads? Assume not as I haven't seen any test drive reports or news around the emira after the Auto show.

We continue to be left in the dark..

Sorry, I don’t know.
But if it is only show car, we might be able to see it in SANC’s showroom right after the Tokyo Motor show ends.
According to my words, the PDI is taking long time, it maybe maybe maybe a test drive car. (Or, maybe only a press-demo car in closed course or so…)
