My Specs:
Emira V6
After owning one of the early S2 Elises back in 2001, running it as my only and everyday car and regretting selling it in 2009 - I've been hankering for something LOTUS for years. The old SELOC days were some of the best around Hampshire and Surrey - I still remember fondly the day trip out to Le Tourquet, virtually filling the whole euro-tunnel train with Elises and Exiges. I moved to North Devon about 10 years ago so the roads are not exactly 'sports-car-friendly' although there are some crackers on Exmoor if you can avoid the pot holes. My L200 pickup just doesn't have the corner entry speed capability to be exciting (unless you're looking for a near death experience!) After a day out with a mate in his 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo S and the UK Porsche owners club I really miss the driving. The red 718 Spider RS there was absolutely stunning, but I could never own a Porsche when Lotus is still in business!

I recently met a chap and his GF staying at a local AirB&B with a lovely Magma Red Emira press car he had for the wee for some photography - first one I'd seen in the flesh, and I was sold! Not 100% sure on the colour as I do like the Verdant green from the photos but working on a plan to figure out my finances to get me in the driving seat asap.

I remember that it was a great run, all lining up on the street in Le Touquet and all the locals coming over to ask questions. I still have my 111S I took on that many years ago. I had a little run in with a local farmer on that trip!

Get yourself a test drive - see if you can try out both the V6 and the i4. I went for the test drive with no real intention of buying one but I once I found the Emira is just like the Elise's big brother I knew I had to have one. If you feel the same way I did it'll certainly speed up your plan to get the finances sorted :)

I'll be the first "LotusMartin" to give you an advance welcome back, into the Lotus fold. We look forward to pictures, once you've got your new set of wheels and when you can tear yourself away from enjoying the ride...
