I stumbled across this today, I'll leave you to do the same double-take I did when it popped up.

Glad to see someone at Corvette has a sense of humour and is a shrewd marketeer - "If you like the blue Emira show car, why not buy one of these...?"

Doesn't it just! Different class. Having also watch the Carfection review of the Corvette it's a decent car but the Emira's handling will be in a different league.

I don't like the look of the C8 and especially the interior. I do understand it looks great and the performance is incredible but it doesn't suit my particular taste. A politician in the USA once said I can't describe porn, but I know it when I see it. The Emira has the "it" factor. You can't describe it, it's just there.

Yep, in comparison the Corvette is an absolute minger as we say in Scotland . However, with a hulking great NA V8 it is still a car to be celebrated in my book.

I'm not keen on the C8, which is a shame as I liked the C7. They should have stuck with the front engine, rear drive layout that made it iconic. And those alloys in the above photo look too small.

There is something off about the area aft of the doors - intake angle all wrong and proportions not right. It also has a look that I've observed on a number of American cars recently, namely that it looks like it has been designed by a "Transformers" designer!

Yep, great Scottish word! I've seen a lot worse though, it's a design that they nearly got right. And for anyone that wants a big engine and the performance that goes with it that's one of your go-to options instead of the Emira.

For the longest time some angles of the C8 made me frown. Finally one of the youtubers put it best, it looks like a kit car. It looks like a super car kit car. I agreed. But as previously said, I do like that NA V8.

I was suprised how lazy it sounded. Not the best V8 noise in a sports car and 6500RPM redline? Have they just chucked a truck engine in it?

Actually in my mind I am thinking about the C8 Z06's NA V8! That has an 8600 redline I believe.

Ah i stand corrected! Just watched a video review with Tiff Needell and wasn't that impressed by the sound and pick up. Will check out some other reviews 👍 As a package for the cash its hard to beat
