I'd say you'd need a new one almost ALL the time, judging my what I saw when I took my exhaust apart to do the 3rd cat delete. The OEM gasket was largely destroyed upon removal. Doing a bit of detective work with the Forum, GRP sells the aftermarket
Fel-Pro 61473 ring gasket, which is the same one you identified.
You may be able to purchase it from the UK eBay...I note it's for sale on the US eBay (and Amazon, for that matter).
That said, you can use any exhaust gasket similarly sized that serves the same purpose; go into a muffler shop and tell them what you're doing and they should be able to sell you one. For sizing, I got this off of the Fel-Pro website:
www.drivparts.com
You'll note Fel-Pro describes this gasket fitting other vehicle makes (not a Lotus Emira) but that's because those others have similar sized exhaust set-ups. Giving this information to the muffler shop (the other vehicles that take this particular exhaust pipe flange gasket) should also help them ID what you need. Hope this helps and good luck!
PS: I just noticed on the Fel-Pro website for this gasket, there's a "where to buy" function. If you input the United Kingdom and your city, you should find a place in the UK to purchase one, if you'd rather have a Fel-Pro instead of something else from your muffler shop...assuming your muffler shop doesn't sell the Fel-Pro brand.
