Emira in Nurburgring (7:39)

The GT4 is a track weapon, the Emira is not. Let alone straight line speed, there is a video on YT where a 981 GT4 smokes an Emira V6. Plus do you really think the Emira is 20+sec faster then an equally powered and lighter Evora 400 with the exact same engine? It most likely will be faster, but surely not 20 sec or more.

Emira corners faster than a 911? Which one? Witnessed how? Same driver?

I’m not a pro driver by any means. But this summer I tried 3 tracks. Did about 80-90 laps and there were always many Porsches there.

It was a piece of cake to be faster on the corners than the Porsches - in the straights who cares it’s only about HP. The Emira V6 is super well balanced so easy to drive it hard.

Has the GT4 more torque than the stock?

The straights are where you make up time on track though, so if you care about lap times then those straights matter. Even if mid corner speed is relatively slower in a 911, if it gets the power down better coming out of a turn and onto the straight it should drop lap time more than just having a slightly higher VMAX in the turn. Straights aren't only about HP, they're also about corner exit.

Of course, it all depends on the driver too - you can't just say the Emira is faster than a 911 from seeing a YouTube video. Heck, I've passed McLarens, 911s, and stock cars in my 220hp 30 year old BMW track car but I'm sure if given the same driver they'd blow my doors off.

Stock for stock, the cayman GT4 and 911 should be able to beat the Emira under most circumstances on track. That being said... I still wanted the Emira.

Like @Read T mentioned, its basically down to the driver.

Me too! Much more entertaining car for the road. For the track, its the other way around.

We have mixed cars in our track mostly 911’s and some tuned BMW’s. There are very few cars the Emira does not pass. The GT3’s are a bit hard nuts on the straights.
