Drive mode selector switch: looseness / play

I've noticed recently my drive mode selector switch has some play in it. It can wiggle a bit forward/backward before engaging whatever it connects to. I put the car in sport mode every time I drive so it gets use, but I'm not abusing it or anything. Anyone else have this issue?

You can remove that panel and re sit the drive mode selector. It probably popped out or something

Agree -- the selector switch sits between two cradles and is can become dislodged -- remove the console trim and press it back in. You can find console trim removal steps in the forum search - very simple job.

The demo I was driving from my dealer had a completely loose drive mode selector as well…

I was able to press it straight down and it seems to be seated again. I'll post again if it reoccurs. Thanks everyone!

I sure wish Lotus would let us set a default startup mode. It would reduce the use of that switch by like 95% for me.
