Central England meet

It would be lovely to meet you all! I live in Tunbridge Wells so the journey is not that far. However, I wondered what we would do once we met up?

Could it be an option that we make the meet up a track day? I’ll be driving at Donnington Park on 28th July and Castle Combe on 2nd September with the Lotus on Track group… Possibly Silverstone in August. Would you guys like to do a track meet?

Geoff seems to be on holiday a lot , so we may just have to accept that he has to enjoy that rather than a day driving.
Would people prefer sooner rather than later e.g. 15th/16th June, or 19th/20th July.

As to what we do, when we all get there? Will very much depend on how many of us and what time we meet up. A Sunday morning meet would suggest breakfast at the very least, possibly a blat round some country roads in the vicinity. However open to suggestions as to an agenda

I’m interested and fairly close to MK. Can’t make 28/29 June or 5/6 July. Will follow this thread and come along if I can make it.

Maybe meet somewhere where there's something to look at? Gaydon Motor museum? Motorbike museum near NEC? Anything in MK apart from roundabouts and concrete cows?

It very much depends on what we want to do. Go for a blat, or just meet and have Breakfast/coffee
I grew up in the area, but left 30+ years ago(yes I'm that old). The roads used to be good around there, but no idea what they are like nowadays. I was there about a month ago and had a blast down one of the grid roads between Bletchley & Newport Pagnell, just to see how quick I could do it, but think that would be asking for trouble with 7-9 of us.
Being the first meet, I was trying to avoid something to adventurous, but if others have suggestions of a location, then please make them.

I wish! It's only a few days I can't make 14th, 29th Jun and anything after 27th July.

21st June seems to be the first date everyone is free.

Being the first meet, I was trying to avoid something to adventurous, but if others have suggestions of a location, then please make them.

Caffeine & Machine would be my go-to for both MK and the Gaydon area; there's one by Milbrook and another by Stratford-upon-Avon

Also whilst we on the subject of meets and in case anyone here fancies it...

The South-East Lotus Owners Club (SELOC) is arranging a 'Best of British' club stand with (up to) 12 Lotus and 12 Morgan Cars at the Blackbushe Air Day (cars and planes) on June 14th. There's room for a few more Lotus cars - I'm the only Emira so far. You can register on the events page on the SELOC website - here - you will need to register for SELOC to login first I think (you don't need to be from the South-East to register - you don't even need to drive a Lotus in fact).
