Carrying things on the roof?

Hi all.
What is the ideal solution for carrying larger objects on the Emira?

Like a roof mount of sorts?

Sadly I can’t carry my 7’6” fishing rods inside.

Theoretically, something like the seasucker roof racks can be a solution.
Realistically, a different car is the correct solution.

I had Seasuckers on an Infiniti Q60 Red Sport to carry my bike. It was very sturdy and it does work. But, I had one of the suckers on the trunk lid, and after about six months, whenever I went to wash the car, I could feel the lid had bulged upwards slightly - not visible, but I could feel it. So, I stopped using it.

You should be able to carry a fishing rod since it'll have a lot less drag than a bike, but I would try to suck it onto the windshield or trunk glass instead.

Maybe you can mount your fishing rods over rear engine cover like James Bond did with his skis!
