Anyone in the east end of the gta (durham)

@BLUEMIRA

Thanks so much for that. The emira definitely seems to hit all the right spots for me.

We were looking at buying in the county for a second property, but never had time to look. Lol nice spot. We hit up the winery's down there some times too, but with life, kids, and their sports we barely have the time for anything.

That definitely is a nice pair for the garage. This would be a third for us. Weekends and what not. Currently a '24 tundra and '18 q7. Haul all the work and kids shit. Lol

If I'm out that way I'll definitely take you up on that. I'm very curious about the mods you've done as that's the path I'm looking at as well.

How are the lowering sleeves? Do you have the sport or touring suspension with them?

The seats were another question. Are they really that bad? Everyone seems to not like how high you sit or the bolsters. In comparison to other cars you've been in?

The gt4 is defined closest comparison. I love porsche, my wife not so much. Not to knock porsche bur I agree with you about the gt4 or S, very cool but underwhelming. Plus the look of the emira...just damn!

I got a hefty FED EX bill today for those rotors I just ordered. Just over $400CAD and the price of them were $2800USD. I imagine some of that is weight (80lbs total) but some could be tariffs. I recently received titanium wheel bolts from GRP but it did not seem bad at all coming over the border.
Ouch. Such a hard hit to take

HI Matt.
I am a real estate agent in Prince Edward County (the County) by the way......lol, hint, hint.
We have a stable of a few cars:
2024 Lotus Emira
2021 Porsche Taycan 4S
2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo (I know, how can an electric car be a turbo?)
Honda accord couple V6
BMW X5 SUV.
I am on the sports suspension for the Emira and I think it is fine. It is sportscar stiff but totally liveable.
I am happy with my choice. I have the Goodyear tires but I have a second set of rims and tires (I have 3 actually including the OEM gloss black V-spoke) as well as Vossen NF11 in satin gold and the 5-spoke you see above. I have Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on those rims. No real need for me personally to have the cup 2s but that is just personal preference. The Goodyears and PS 4S are more than capable.
Lowered as much as it can go without interfering with the rear CV boot. No issues, no rubbing, etc. I would estimate a 25mm drop. I also have custom offset on my wheels equivalent to a 10mm push in the front and 13mm in the rear. I could have went 2mm further in front and almost 5mm in rear. There are threads on this but one member (@silent cilantro) has advertised his specs on an aftermarket wheel thread (custom wheel pictures) and his yellow car looks amazing.
Seats don't bother me at all but I am not a big track guy. In fact, Im not a big guy at all. I am 5'6" and 150lbs so maybe that helps. Because of my lower height, I also don't feel the seats sit up too high.
I was easily able to fit with a helmet on track as well.
That said, the Porsche is more bolstered but I don't see myself needing to change things out, other than for looks.

I guess I'll have to get my emira and come out that way and you can sell me a waterfront spot lol

Paul at at Gentry is great to deal with, if you do decide to go.
There are not a lot of Emira around. But I bet there are a few of your way.
What brain picking questions do you have?
I second that. Paul and the team at Gentry Lane are the best. I have had nothing but a great experience with Paul.

This is definitely the spec I'm looking at. Also an approval colour from the wife. Lol Yellow too. Thats really the most important thing. Lol. I just need to convince her of the manual over the i4.....

If i saw this floating around Bell-vegas I'd be floored.

I have been OCD-ing over the emira for a while. To me it seems to be the perfect balance. Minus power. I want some more out of it, but with a few bolt ons, I feel, I'll be in my happy spot.

How has maintenance costs been? My daily's have been audi for years, so I understand euro costs. Just recently switched one to a tundra, so it has been softened. - maybe.

Any of the standard issues? Hvac/ac, wind noise, steering buttons, etc that all the reviews mention?

Still super happy with it?

Why did you choose this over anything else in the price point?

I'm pretty sure my mind is set....as it's lines are beautiful.

Sounds like you put some miles on it...still keeps a smile on your face?

Buy anything recently from GRP since the tariffs hit?

I briefly talked to Paul the other day. I think it was Paul. Seemed nice. I'm probably going down the path of a low milage resale to save on lux tax, and maybe a little on cost. Near the top of my budget. Especially if I'm going to go drop another 10-15k on mods.

That's my story.
V6 manual will feel more engaging. But if you want an engine you can play with to get more horsepower from what I read the AMG 4 cylinder has more potential for tuning.

I'm at 4,000KM and apart from some minor hiccups from arrival my car has been very good as well. Always started, never had a CEL light on. The guys at Gentry are excellent. Can't say the same for the other GTA dealer. It really is a great driver's car and can honestly say I do not regret it.

Answers to questions;

1. AC/HVAC always works well not problem
2. Wind noise at highway can be a little higher than others, but nothing unbearable
3. After doing @kitkat 's manual shifter adjustment - I really enjoy its manual transmission
4. This is by far the best looking car in its price point and manual. What else would I want?
5. The more you drive it, the better it gets.

Hope that helps.
I wonder if part of the wind noise is the hood. I love the look.

I'm oshawa to be specific. Posh-awa
You'd likely be the only one is Oshawa. There as a Senaca Blue in North Whitby. A Helthel Yellow one in Brooklin. And I did see a red one North Oshawa but it was on the 407 so he was passing through.

I'm in Belleville and I have yet to see one in my area, let alone one in the wild anywhere. (Beside group track day and car shows). I saw a thread that said there were less than 350 Emiras delivered to Canada total. That's pretty rare.
