Is the following grinding/almost rattle noise, appearing to come from the engine area is normal, my fault, or the car's fault? The car is Emira V6 Manual 2025.
Let's say I am driving in Sport mode in 4th gear, when speed is around 68mph, I hold the clutch, blip the gas hard (the shift now sign flashes), then when rpm is around 5K, i downshift to 3rd.
If I immediately jam the gas the moment I finish the downshift, I hear a grind/rattle from the engine area for like 2 seconds. However, if I after downshift to 3rd, wait for a split second, then press on gas, no grind or rattle is heard.
I don't know how to describe the sound. The car itself doesn't rattle. Some sound from the engine area is heard, like maybe a grind, a box of rocks shaking, something like that.
The gearbox itself doesn't fight me at all. I can cleanly and shift with no gearbox resistance.
Is this normal? or am I unreasonably pushing the car?
