I'm a lifetime local to the area and have been driving sports cars here for decades. There are a lot of good roads pretty convenient to Kirkland. It's certainly gotten harder as the area has grown, as some formerly good roads are now fairly dangerous to drive quickly, as the amount of traffic...
This thread is so interesting. You see so many different perspectives on how to handle money, including among highly financially successful people. This is an example. My mortgage is around 2.5%. I could easily pay it off, but instead I have the remaining balance in things like government bonds...
Just got mine. It's fantastic! It's better than I remember from my test drive. Breaking it in is going to be painful. I'm ready to let it rev. I really love is that it is fantastic to drive without lots of the artificial theatrics that lots of the recent sports cars I've driven have. It sounds...
Hmm. I see BaT price as sale price * 1.05, in order to include fees. Certainly that's how I would calculate it as a buyer. As far as I can tell, this is pretty consistent with what is being described above in the private market. High 80s for nice recent manual Evora GT. Sample size is small, and...
The link above should show all recent Evora GT sales on BaT for the last couple years. Low to mid 80s seems to be the going rate, post fees. Maybe high 80s if you ignore the automatics (I definitely wouldn't get an automatic, personally!)
Looks like low-mid 80s for BaT Lotus Evora GT after fees are factored in. Not a deep liquid, market, so it's a bit hard to say what the value really is. https://bringatrailer.com/search/?s=lotus+evora+GT
Bid is to 101K on the Emira, so over 106K after fees with a day left. Overall, my...
Higher than I would have expected by now, 98K. I guess FE1 MSRP is in the rearview and FE2 MSRP after BaT fees is getting very close. My general sense is that there is not a lot of inventory yet. I only see a few listings that look real online, all over 110. It's going to be interesting to see...
If I get offered 50k over . . . Instant flipper. That's a lot of money to make on a 93k purchase. That said, my personal prediction is premiums will be less and I will keep my car for years!
Obviously no Emiras to compare to, but where I live in the US I am seeing GTS 4.0s and GT4s going for less than sticker just a few months old even though they are still rare. That was not happening a year ago. I'm expecting my Emira to depreciate too. Boom is over.
I love this. I'd be tempted to do it, except apparently we're both in Washington, and a car with this graphic should not risk ever running into a copy on the road!
Drove it today. I found shifting not as smooth as I would have liked, didn't find a seating position that was perfect for me, and I thought the engine sounded ok, not great, at low RPMs, as well as a bit weak in that range as well.
But . . . I don't care about any of that. The car was awesome...
Great to see these test drive impressions. I hope my chance comes soon. The car sounds fantastic to me, even the exhaust as I have never liked very loud cars. My 993 was about right, and much quieter than something like a current gt3. On the stereo, most good speakers have a break in period, so...
For years I've been wishing that Ferrari would put out a small sports car priced at around $100,000 that I could use to tour the mountain roads near my home. For me the modern supercars are too fast and too expensive to be fun. My favorite car I've ever owned was a 993, but I'm tired of taking...
Looks pretty close to soul red to my eye. I think that's great; I daily drive a soul red Mazda and love the color. I ordered my Emira in magma. I guess I will have a very monochromatic garage.
Submitted my final spec the other day:
Manual transmission
Touring suspension
Magma red
No black pack
Silver wheels
Black calipers
Tan interior
No privacy glass
I really agonized over blue versus red, but ultimately decided that I thought the red showed the curves better. It's also roughly the...
Give them a call. I spoke with Park place a few days ago about my allocation (I'm around 70, I think), and based on the conversation am expecting to get my car Q1 2023.
