    Interesting. I originally read it as 100k per manufacturer but you’re right, it seems a total import limit. That’s going to be interesting as JLR import almost that alone. End of the “year” will be interesting as low tariff slots dry up.

    Limited to 100k cars per manufacturer and obvs fine for Lotus. No coincidence that JLR exports around 100k a year to the US and they started shipping a few days ago before the announcement.

    Starting problems and Check Engine light

    Not having a manual handbrake release is a real pain in the backside when you can’t start the car. Requires having the back wheels off and hot wiring the motors to release. If I ever see my car again I’ll be turning off the auto park brake.

    I wrestled with that insane panel during removal and replacement yesterday in a car reading 33 deg. If trying this, when putting back you need to pull the carpet back towards the seat a bit to allow the panel enough room to push/drop down to the floor and slide forwards under the "hooked" rail.

    Can I ask what symptoms you experience when you say “won’t start”? I’ve been having similar issues the past few days. Mine unlocks but then the start button simply does nothing with the CEL coming on sometimes. Tried pretty much everything at this point.

    I’m a learn by doing type of guy 😂 I’m also just now waiting for my 3rd date with the AA in 4 days - detail in another thread. This time I think the car will be getting dragged up on to a flatbed because the park brake won’t release and only the dealers have the tool to manually release.
