Not sure how far is too far - we obviously didn’t choose to have blistered doors that need to be replaced….. They seem to accept that if you’ve shelled out for PPF that will be covered, just wondering if any audio / sound deadening would be too. I’m guessing probably not

How much of the interior did you sound deaden to get that improvement? I’m planning on getting the doors and rear shelf area done - is this sufficient amount or did you go further than that?

Got my 3rd cat delete ready to fit and it looks like a good idea to have a spare gasket to hand in case the old one isn’t fit to reuse - does anyone know a part number available in the UK? Can only find the one people are using in the USA (Felpro 61473) but can’t find that one over here….. Thanks

Sorry ignore my previous post above KJW, I’ve got mixed up as I’m planning on some Audisons for the front, my sub that I fitted is actually the Kicker Hideaway. This also fits the rear shelf quite smartly, not sure if it’s as good/powerful as the Audison as I’ve never heard that one to compare.

I have the Audison sub. It’s very good. Just need to sort out the rest of the dire system, mid and high end still dreadful. Prob going to book it into Cambridge CA for their upgrade incl sound deadening.

However it is 5 years paint warranty not 3, at least on my 73 plate I believe!? But surely if you had that door replaced a day before the warranty expired, you wouldn’t just have a 1 day warranty on the new door? Surely Lotus need to take some ownership over their own poor quality?

This is mine Andy, it’s quite unobtrusive but very effective, much better bass now but the rest of the system is still very lacking. It would be easily removable (attached by Velcro) if you ever needed the storage space for a trip.

I am tempted by their Level 2 package. I already have enough bass provided by the Kicker Hideaway. So this upgrade would give new speakers in the door, add tweeters, rears, plus a new amp for more power. And sound deadening. Anyone had anything like this done by them? I would think this would...

Thanks Andy Yes I’ve had a look at their site, some big packages with big prices there! I’m sure they are excellent, good idea, perhaps they’d consider a more minor install. Just want tweeters added really, although I’d also be interested in sound deadening.

Am very keen to add the Alpine tweeters into those weirdly unused grille spaces. Despite the fact that I managed to install myself the Kicker Hideaway sub, I’m not quite confident enough to do the tweeter install myself. I added the Kicker Hideaway. I’d almost forgotten what a difference it makes until I was given another Emira as a courtesy car for a couple of days. The stock Kef is honestly embarrassing as a “premium” audio system, it has no bass whatsoever. Adding a powered sub like the Kicker is the best...

I think that’s by design - how it’s supposed to be. To turn it out of Auto mode you rotate that dial through the modes, eg a click or two to the left and it will show OFF on the screen. I don’t think pressing that button is supposed to turn it out of Auto mode.

I guess it’s cheap if you can do it yourself. Probably a bit too advanced for me! I’ll live with this for a while and then maybe look to get it done

As well as the Auto shutdown message I also get this one too now despite the car being in regular use and also often on charge overnight. Battery needs replacing? Covered under the 3 yr warranty?

Hi all I removed the rear diffuser to install the Milltek valve controller - all good…..except when trying to reinstall the diffuser, one of the bolts won’t screw in, just spins round and doesn’t engage. Were there originally nuts on the other side/inside? Also I read there are two metal clips...

sometimes I hold the start button for about 10 seconds, I heard that can reset the electronics, no idea if that might help, or whether it’s the lock/unlock that does it but I’ve never had it as bad as you where I can’t get the engine running, sometime just takes a minute or 2….. Hope Lotus can...

Yes pretty much exactly that….. Not even sure how I’m clearing it, just getting out, locking, waiting 30 secs, unlocking seems to fix it most times!

Ah ok Geoff…. I suppose at least it looks like nothing wrong with the engine and safe to drive/run, although ABS is a bit of a safety concern if they’re not working, although I would have thought we’d get a specific message if the ABS system u/s….
