I did just get an ionizer tank (what these filters are called). I like the idea that after a wash, it won't etch the clearcoat with any minerals. Even if dust or pollen gets to them before it dries. I find minerals in particular get stuck to the paint real quick and are very hard to remove.
Haha! But I have no idea whether the car is on Daytime Running light mode or actual Headlights On mode. I guess I am one of those that don't know when my headlights aren't on.
I just find it odd that it behaves this way when all the other cars I have seen does it differently, including a...
I wish the wireless phone charger mistake was true...
I also thought his launches were in a slightly downhill section. But maybe I am just jealous it's a second faster...
Does anyone have a problem with accidentally opening the trunk when the key is in the pocket? I always seem to have the problem because the button is flush with the surrounding.
Does the cover help with this at all?
According to Car and Driver, they confirmed with a Lotus rep that shipment is indeed paused. Makes sense until we can settle on what tariff will stay.

Junior never gets the love...
Junior never gets the love... But totally agree calling it a junior supercar is just silly. Also agree that it can classify as an exotic. To me, I know the C8 isn't really an exotic but it still looks like a supercar.
But to those not in the know, they do...
Pocket, though occasionally (more often than not), the trunk gets opened because it's in the pocket. Then I would have to get out of the car and close it like an idiot...
Went to the dealer today, seems they are aware of the problem and mentioned a software update may (eventually) fix it, though not sure if it's yet available.
Reviving to see if anyone has seen a fix aside from upgrading the subwoofer. (If that's even confirmed to be the issue to begin with).
I hear it sometimes when I open the door but usually hear it on the move, almost every time I drive it.
The more pronounced issue is the tire skipping while rolling at full lock, like when backing out of a driveway. It's as if the tires are running over a bunch of pebbles. Think it's part of the same problem. Anyone else experiencing that?
Thanks, can't find the cover by looking down the compartment, will use an endoscopic camera later today to see if I can find it.
I did find Volkswagen also had something wrong with their engine cover being loose and are doing a recall. I wonder if we will get one or if they will just install a...
Resurrecting the thread...
This just happened to me! It's gone missing. Except I don't know if it's been missing since I last went to the dealer to change the oil, or if it fell in since I can't see it at the bottom... Quite an annoyance from a poor design.
Will dropping the tray from below...
Unfortunately for some of us without a garage in the Northeast, we make do with what we can. Though I definitely avoid driving it when it's cold AND wet.
How do we warm up the tires before driving? (No F1 tire blankets here). I may go a bit easy on them to let them warm up when I start the...
For us who own one already, I suppose a hotter version would gives us some factory components as upgrades later on.
At the end of the day, I don't mind if they come up with better versions, even ones with a manual. Gonna enjoy what you already have.
And I don't want to be in the camp of...
I sure hope they stay around so we don't have to worry about warranty and parts for the years to come. I plan on keeping it.
Separately: Am I the only one having no idea what the chart is supposed to tell me?
I avg around 20mpg but I mostly drive on the highway, so it's not unimaginable to be lower especially if driving spiritedly.
I say if it drives fine and no warning messages, keep enjoying it and don't overthink it.
I am curious what rpm range people keep when coasting/not accelerating.
Some companies just don't want our business. Those are "go away don't talk to me" prices.
Allstate actually told me they won't insure anyone who hasn't been with their current company for more than 3 years. So much for getting new customers. AAA came through for me at the end with something...
2300 miles after 6 months, which is more than expected. Still the honeymoon period.
Had a check engine light (p0096, intake air sensor out of parameter) during break in period that limited the engine rpm a couple of times. The error was cleared and it never came back.
Seems very interesting! Need to wait for more info to be posted. The LOG4e3 page seems to have some good info from last year though.

Just joined the club as a result of this thread.
This is the one! Too bad my dealer didn't include one so I had to buy mine! It is great to see dealers including them though!
The advantages of this mount are that it's easy to install with no drilling AND the front plate is easily removable in seconds (literally) without any part of the...
