Lotus Emira, MK VIII Golf R, Gen 3 802a Raptor. Bases are covered. Wife drives the Golf most days…it has some mods and is tuned, it’s the fastest thing here. But it’s a total puppy dog when you stay out of boost.

I use an upholstery tack hammer and a small hex bit the hex bit is big enough to hold with two fingers and short enough to leave some room to swing the hammer. The hammer is small enough to maneuver and has enough mass to get things where they need to be with a few well placed taps.

Good to know about the limited tire availability, I was actually saying no spacers, just a wider wheel with the right offset to allow for a similar flush fitment and the wider width tires. But if there’s not a lot of tire options then it’s potentially moot.

With the right offset I also wonder about 255 in the front and 305s in the rear for a max grip track setup. Feels possible if people are adding ~10mm spacers to the stockers but I’m far from an expert on this sort of thing.

I might try it. Ill Have a look next time I have the tires off. I already swap wheels and pads, and change fluids, it’s prob two more bolts to remove it. I’d love lighter wheels and cheaper 200tw track tire options.

Why not remove the parking brake for track use when you swap wheels and pads? You shouldn’t use a parking brake at the track anyway on a hot rotor. It really would open up a lot of options for 200tw tires. For manual cars just leave it in gear. Would that work?

I’m going the two set route. EBC reds for daily use, EBC blues for track days. Just put the reds on. I’ll report back after I get some miles on them. These brakes are so easy to change, it’s not much trouble.
