    UK Paint Warranty- Escalations bribery!

I assume they recover all associated costs from the door manufacturer, if they just repaired and repainted and it reoccurred, which is happening to replacement doors, the manufacturer could say 'not our problem its the repair'.

    UK Paint Warranty- Escalations bribery!

My dealer, JCT600, told me they have already replaced replaced doors. The problem hasn't been solved. I've had both doors and tailgate replaced this year, 2022 build.

    2027 Changes

Put the Toyota GR Yaris 1.6 unit in and it would be approximately 130kg lighter, add the hybrid system and it wouldn't be too much more than it weighs now. That unit can go 600 bhp+ with different turbo, cams, springs and intake. All depends on what they use.

    2027 Changes

Toyota GR Yaris has a 1.6l turbo engine putting 280 bhp as stock, with minor add ons and tunes thats been taken to 450 + bhp, with internal changes eg cams 650 bhp is easily achievable. The positive news is production is likely which means spare parts will be available too, including body...

    Paint blistering issue update

Seneca blue tailgate replaced a month ago and can't see any colour difference. The paintshop told me Verdant Green was the hardest colour to match up.

3rd round of Redundancies at Lotus 😞

The spec of my 2023 V6, sport, manual is now £106,750/€123,500 here in the UK, with an additional £4,500 ish in 1st year road tax. Used models with a couple of 0000 miles are in the £62,000/€70,000.

3rd round of Redundancies at Lotus 😞

Good grief, no. If you must have one get a used one with a 3rd party warranty. Some dealers are now part of a Car Care Plan warranty scheme for cars coming out of Lotus warranty. Jon Seal sports cars, advertise on here, are offering a 3rd party warranty via a trusted partner. Lotus are...

3rd round of Redundancies at Lotus 😞

Panels manufactured by an international, Japanese owned company. They would no doubt be footing the bill for the whole cost of replacements.

3rd round of Redundancies at Lotus 😞

Why do some think production will move to high labour cost US and not Chyna? It makes more sense to use cheap labour, very cheap energy costs and the local supply chain that Geely clearly possess. I did post a couple of weeks ago that the above and Lotus going into administration was likely...

Putting up for sale my Emira

Totally agree with time event 9f service. Of course oil deteriorates over time but not 12 months. It is a way for manufactures to get out of warranty issues if you haven't kept up to their guidelines which I think is the main reason.

Putting up for sale my Emira

I think the rear duck tail is the weak spot of the whole kit, the front lip, diffuser and side skirts suit the car. Sales manager at the dealers said they were initially told that Lotus would be providing a bodykit, hence the OEM fitting holes, but it only appeared on the GT cars they sold. I...

This is not the car I ordered!

Did sport suspension come with only Michelin Cup 2's, yours has Goodyear. Perhaps a claim for a new set of tyres due to their error is in order? 🤔😏

Not driven the tour so have nothing to compare with, but from what I've read there isn't a huge difference to sport.

Putting up for sale my Emira

Just what I thought. I expected around £56/7k from a dealer as they'll put it up at £63kish make a bit of profit and look to sell the finance to purchase, no problem with that.

Putting up for sale my Emira

Confirmed with Lotus dealer that 2nd service is due December, they have it down that the car was in storage for its 1st 15 months, so records have been amended with no problem. Price, 1 non Lotus dealer has offered £56k as is, another offered £45k as, I quote, 'manuals and sport suspension...

    New Jayemm Emira video

For a 1st try the Cyberster got pretty good overall reviews, not sold as an outright sports car but has the speed, looks and equipment. Under £60k with 7 yr warranty. I imagine their next revision will up the anti and I've been told that ICE are back on the table.

    New Jayemm Emira video

As a business/financial decision it is a logical thing to do. First time owners of Lotus who bought into the Emira will no doubt not buy another Lotus and look for something else in time, those who appreciate the Lotus brand and its history will still buy. Geely have sunk massive amounts of...

    New Jayemm Emira video
