This is great, thanks for sharing. Def prefer the smaller wheels, it elongates the car visually for sure, and looks more proportional. My least fav view is the side view, because it looks toy-ish, but with the smaller wheels it now looks balanced. Also with 18's you get lighter weight, cheaper...

Agree, and if I had to choose between higher rev or more power, I'd take higher rev - to me the redline feels unnatural in a way that you need to watch the tach vs feel the engine peak out - I'd rather keep my eyes on the road and feel a natural power peak which tells my brain its time to shift...

Thanks for the photos - I'm a performance first type of guy and looks are always a very distant second, but I was curious if the 18's would elongate the look of the car (which I think looks squatty from the side view) - I think those 18's on the green car definitely stretch out the proportions...

I've considered lowering with Nitrons, sitting on 19's or 18's would help from that regard, but this move would be justified for better track use with the side benefit of maybe making it look longer...but that's in the future. I wouldn't make those changes just for optics, I don't care THAT...

Agree-I used 20NM given other vehicles that I have experience with (where plugs have been stripped by careless techs) and that I used a mag drain plug that had fewer threads vs OEM; there has been no leaking. Over heat cycles they tend to settle further.

No reference to 911 (I'm coming from an Audi R8) but I've noticed on the Emira, later braking sharpens up the turn-in in a good way. This struck me when I was done with break-in miles and was able to accelerate more aggressively on the same roads, resulting in higher speeds and heavier braking...

The 7mm might be optional, they hold two smaller plates to the main structure - but there is overlap w the rear diffuser-be great if those were optional! Yeah, exactly. It hangs down and rests directly on the bottom aero cover. I’ll zip tie some rubber or foam padding at the low point next oil...

Yeah, parked in lower lot and then walked the grid w my son to check everything out. Then followed up w Ortega to finish out my break-in and switched to race mode / rev’d it out finally. Super fun and now feel like it’s the car I wanted! Supercharger noise and acceleration pull above 4K is sweet.

FYI for new owners- I have 850 miles now - ESC on twice, once after spirited driving, once during stop and go traffic, so no consistency between the two. Both times reset without problem. CEL after first fuel fill up, went out after about 50+ miles (fuel door sensor?); second fill up no issue...

I've had CEL after a fill up and figured it was fuel door or other "emissions" related. Reset door just in case, kept driving, after about 50+ miles it went out. Also had ESC light on after some aggressive driving, went out next re-start. Never had any impact to engine or drive modes...just...
