I removed mine, not melted, but I opened it and the circuit board is corroded. I assume water got in somehow as I could not see any seals. I do recall strange check engine lights after a wash, so it may be just that it got wet inside :(

I have the valve controller and I get limp mode after washing my Emira. Wonder if the connectors aren't properly sealed. Once the car is dry after driving a bit it goes away again.

XPEL PPF on my headlights on day 1. Easy to apply and less than $100. They also have a kit for the piano black on the interior.

I get "Reduced Performance" after every car wash. I still have the gauze. Wonder what else could be getting wet. Once everything is dry the issue goes away.

If I do coilovers, I move from stock to modified class in autox. In stock class I was about a second off the best time. Modified was 6 seconds faster and I don't think coilovers will make up that much on a 60 second run.

It's just too soft for me. My test drive was with the sport suspension and I liked it. I didn't order my Emira, the guy that ordered it backed out, so I got lucky and got it immediately. Only thing I would have changed was the Touring stuff

I have not seen a Syvec's ECU with performance maps for less that $6k in the US for the cars I owned.

Instructions would be pretty much the same as for the Corolla. Instead of removing the air box, you unclip the trim piece closest to the trunk. Then simply reach through the pipes. Easier when the car is cold.

I've only done 110 miles so far so cannot tell. Since the shift is now faster, I would not say that it is smoother. But in practicing heel-toe downshifts it is definitely easier to rev match and release the clutch sooner .

On my Corolla, yes. Shortest setting was too much, shifting was a little strained. Longest setting was also nice and short, but the middle was the sweet spot.
