Has anyone in the US had a chance to drive an auto v6 and an i4 back to back to give us their impressions?

It’s concerning that this issue is still occurring in these cars. For those of us that live far from a dealership to is will be tough to accept.

Better question is why doesn’t the US version have it? Are there any cars in this price range without it? And the fact the Chinese version has it makes it even more odd that it’s not on ours. There so many of these sorts of oddities with lotus that it’s hard to make sense of any of it. LOL.

given the number of orphaned Emiras, I think they need to be careful of not alienating buyers with a large price increase. I think most manufactures increase prices on cars year after year but it's usually very nominal. I noticed that email didnt mention i4 base.

Lotus needs to step up and provide a longer warranty on the paint issue beyond 3 years. It's a known problem. Otherwise I suspect down the road perhaps a class action situation given the cost of the replacements to owners. I have seen this with other car makers where known issues have come up...

I am going to miss my CCB's that I currently have when I get my Emira. Not looking forward to the dust issue especially as a DD. CCB with ceramic coated wheels and calipers has been incredible. Frankly if they had an option to get those on the Emira I would get it! Add to my list of Emira...

I completely agree. I could see a 500-1000 bump like most cars, but a much higher increase I think will hurt their sales. They may try to make up for their poor financials and mismanagement etc on the backs of Emira sales. I assume that will backfire.

I keep seeing tons of unsold cars being listed at Lotus dealers. I think most are going for msrp but I would imagine that they could be had for under rather easily.

I hope you’re right in that there is more to come but I would be very surprised at this point if they added more options like every other manufacturer typically does with new model years or includes as standard items.

I assume touring is the default suspension on base. If so, is the drivers pack not available for touring suspension? If I recall the FE touring has the drivers pack. I am disappointed at the lack of new options on the base configurator.

Out of curiosity did your dealer say if it’s still going to be a 2024? My guy is telling me no matter when the i4 FE is delivered it will be a 2024. Even if it’s delivered in 2025. Makes no sense to me how they are doing this roll out. Wondering what you’ve been told.

so if they replace the doors and you have ppf, lotus pays to replace the ppf? Also I think I read on here a while back that in US the warranty for this is only 3 years whereas elsewhere its 5 years? Is this all true?
