Not that long compared to some of you guys, only around a year or two ago. They said it wasn't gonna happen after I emailed them asking them about the production switch from FE to base model
The 20K i mentioned was options that were previously standard with no extra fees, now costing extra. If i was to get the exact same build, i'm looking at around $20K extra
Model: MSRP (CAD)
2025 Emira V6 $134,900
Transmission:
6-Speed Manual Gearbox STD
6-Speed Automatic Gearbox $3,531
Color...
Yeah it's spec dependant, meant to include "for me" after the 20k increase.
Yeah, I'm looking into them but I would want one that aligns closely with the specs I want. So at minimum I would want the V6 and Ice grey interior. But I'd also prefer it as an automatic with the Hethel Yellow...
Currently my dealer said I'd have to pay the additional fees despite putting my order in for the FE.
Looks to be a 20K CAD increase (for my specs), not sure if I'm going to go through with the purchase after all these run arounds and nonsense they are putting me through
Going to bump this because i have a new issue,
I'm set to be working abroad for 6 months starting may. Still no update on when my Emira is going to be on the way, but I expect it to start being built soon.
Any suggestions on what I should do with my Emira while I'm gone and what upkeep I...
Hopefully this time its for real and there isn't another delay on my car, but my dealer said my car ETA is around November. While I'm super stoked for it, I do have some concerns about getting my car delivered when there would already be or soon to be snow on the ground.
Kind of worried about...
I had an order for the i4 and I got the same email earlier this week.
I've also been asked if I wanted to switch to the V6 auto since I've asked the dealer about it earlier. I can't find the thread about V6 auto vs i4, but I've heard i4 is better but everyone here seems to want the V6 auto?
Different versions have different capabilities. The Nexar Pro connects via USB but also has a battery in it (I have this one, and it records for a while after I unplug it, though I'm not sure how long exactly)
And the newer Nexar One has optional hardwiring kit.
I like Nexar dashcams, they work very well, has app and software. It automatically uploads the videos to my phone too which is really nice. https://www.getnexar.com/the-dash-cams/
I didn't know this about the long stretches at constant rpm, even if im just cruising down the highway at a relatively low rpm? is this common across cars?
Canadian here, I was told v6 would be 2+ years wait and I would have gotten my i4 last month...
with the production delay I would have gotten my v6 the same time I would be getting my i4, which should be next year :(
Edit:
I would if I could switch the the V6 auto, as I plan to drive my Emira...
Short Term:
1) Get the car hopefully
2) Full PPF + Ceramic coating on top on arrival (after making sure the paint is okay)
3) Plan on ordering JUBU CF swan neck wing & splitter
4) JUBU 460 power upgrade, self install
Mid Term:
5) Aerie diffuser + ext, side skirt, vents, other WIP CF like the...
Same, I'm planning on matte inside and gloss outside too. Pretty much planning on replacing all the interior trim, jogoncarbon has door trim, full center console, roof console, and the gear shifter (i got the i4). Like mentioned before the only problem is they are all stickers not replacements...
@Bilbao-Emira @Time2Fly I was considering buying some of Aerie's CF like the side skirts and rear diffuser but it looks like they etch their logo in to CF? When y'all get your ducktails can you lmk if its there as well or if its just on their show model? Not the biggest fan of any logo other...
Little bit of a bump but as a Canadian hearing about the bullshit red tape for the US is funny. My friend needed to file some paperwork from the DMV and like it was a comedy skit they sent him home telling him to fill out different paperwork every time he came back in until he got real pissed...
I saw some videos of the cars coming in with like a packaging wrap, I wonder if these didn't come with those or the dealer took them off for whatever reason.
Has anyone seen any interior carbon fiber trim for the emira? The only carbon fiber trim i've seen are the sticker types https://forzaaa.com/products/carbon-interior-kit-for-lotus-emira :(
Also I'm planning on buying a bunch of exterior carbon fiber from both JUBU and Aerie, do you guys think...
Keep in mind there's also the distance travelled, as a Canadian I travel roughly 100km to university and back every weekday, if I go to work it's an extra 40km added, so it's give or take 240km I drive on a regular day for me. If I was paying that gas price I would riot
Does anyone know if My Lotus will be coming to other countries with the revamp, particularly US/Canada? Apparently my Canadian dealer didn't even know it existed in GB
This is also news to me, I'm not a fan of how I found this out on the forums over a week later after this became public instead of the dealership contacting me... also despite me being in contact with him recently last week for other reasons.
God I hope not, I was told I would be getting mine in Feb 2024 :(
Otherwise, does anyone know if this warming issue affects both the V6 and I4 or just the V6?
I was told that my emira was starting production in October past, and I should expect to get it Early Spring 2024, how long does it usually take until I would get a VIN?
I have an i4 on the way, definitely very interested in the CF louvered tailgate, especially if looks like the one for the Evora 😍
Keep us updated with the development process on the carbon fiber, I'm interested everything you listed, especially if I get a discount 😉
