Emira production is due to restart next week. A source at Hethel says they have a year's worth of Emira orders. No idea what that translates to in terms of numbers of cars!

That depends on what you define a "UK brand" to be. It hasn't been a UK owned brand for many years, but it is still a brand with a UK base. Brands are somewhat of a nonsense these days, given the brand can be traded without any real connection to the people and organisation that built the brand...

That's weird, because mine (man V6) only auto engages the parking brake when the engine is switched off, which is what the handbook says should happen. Hill start assist should keep the parking brake on until you pull away (or 2 secs elapses) but the parking brake light doesn't come on with hill...

No, they are all composite, definitely not aluminium. Chassis is bonded aluminium if that's what you are thinking of. That's made in Norwich by Lotus, a few miles away from Hethel.
