    📓 Journals Adding Lightness

Yes I know. Sorry if any post I write comes across as a sales promo, but I am a Lotus enthusiast too and I've worked hard at getting this right.

    📓 Journals Adding Lightness

I only use my Emira on the roads. It is hard to make people believe the comfort until they have used them but they are way more comfortable than the OEM cushions. I’m 64 with a medical condition that eats the bones away. Two hours in the original seats crippled my back. However, with my seats...

    📓 Journals Adding Lightness

The warning lights are no longer on my car. I have the JUBU resistor plugs which work perfectly on my UK spec car and Greg says he has sorted it now too. I'm not sure if my factory has done an ice grey set yet. but I cannot see a problem there. Leather colours are easier than Alcantara to match.

Come on Eagle, do the seats. I would lay money down that you find it makes way more difference to your driving experience than all the wheels, exhausts and light batteries combined. Every time the dealer gives me a courtesy car I hate it. You sort of bounce up and down on the cushions, the...

    Seats how to lower

Has someone tried the JUBU ones in a US spec car? Because GRP's didn't work in the UK for the passenger side either but as soon as I put these in there was no problem. They also connect up the seat belt warning light so that all works too.

    Seats how to lower

I have just fitted the JUBU plugs in my UK car and they work perfectly even for the passenger seat. We have just bought some in so we can sell them with the seats. The B10 XL will drop the head 100 mm should you need it to.

Plastic panel trim on the side of the base of the seat keeps popping off

I have the solution now to the airbag lights. The resistors work and I put them in by just a battery disconnect prior to fitment. No dealer reset. keeps the seat belt warning too. They are expensive though. I'm fighting with my son over the cost we have to charge.

    Paint blistering issue update

We could make a lovely air free door but we are too busy making air free seats. 😁

    Paint blistering issue update

I'm certain it's nothing to do with water. The company that makes them are trapping air when they compression mould them. The door handle feature is the problem and it stopping the air escaping. That why the bubbles are mainly leading from it or around it.

Removing factory seat and installing Tillet B10-tips and tricks

We would be happy to work with them to manufacture a Lotus product. We have approached them about it. I just think the car companies struggle with all the regulations now. So they go for a set formula that already exists.

    Track talk modifications

I have had my seats in the Emira for two years, I pull one seat forward and put the bag through the middle. The problem with all the functions is they all add weight and with the split seat it compromises the shape, especially around the lower back. I have been racking my brain on how to do it...

    Track talk modifications

Why don't you consider using our B10XL Emira styled seats. You would be solid in the car, up to 4 inches lower and the car would be 30 kg lighter if both seats are changed. There is zero comfort compromise. They are more comfortable on long journeys.

Evora Seats in the Emira - will they fit?

You would find them more comfortable than the Evora seats. We spend hours sculpturing the shape to take away any pressure point. The weight is 30 kg lighter overall and the head height much lower.

Revised model. Batch one was made with the tab to be an Exige passenger bracket too. But we decided to take it off as it made the bracket lighter and better looking.

Removing factory seat and installing Tillet B10-tips and tricks

I am confident that with the standard B10 size and a set of Emira panels you would fit it very well. You are the same size as my son in law who is an ex F3 driver and when he tested it, we set it on the top holes and he said the driving position was perfect.

Removing factory seat and installing Tillet B10-tips and tricks

On your point about using the lower front hole. I am afraid when I had to add another set of holes on top for shorter drivers, it meant that the bracket will impact the leg area of the seat on the lowest front hole. The solution is to either cut a little off the bracket where it impacts the leg...

I will see if I can locate a customer and get a picture of them in the car. I have another picture of the seat out of the car.

The side air bag inside the seat are taken out with the OEM seats and are not there at all obviously, but the others should be unaffected. Otherwise if one was faulty you would be left with none going off. With a race orientated seat like a B10 you are locked in a central position and cannot fly...

    Window opens, when closing door

I had a issue with it not locating at the top and they needed resetting. I'm not 100% on the procedure but it's something like you hold the down button on for ten seconds. I think that re sets the low point.

Instant weight loss and no strict diet with Tillett Seats!

No, sorry. It will be a long time before a product that tips forward appears. There is too much other development stuff that needs to be done first.

    Lightweight seats

I did wonder whether we could integrate the existing airbag kit into a model but the problem with these things is that any safety device needs many thousands spent testing and all cars would be different. By the time that was costed in, no one would buy it. I know it's a legal thing in Australia...

Instant weight loss and no strict diet with Tillett Seats!

I know my son has it in mind for the future but you would have sold your car before a recliner product comes out. I doubt you would need to adjust our form fitting seats once you have found your best driving position.

We use Autograde Dinamica, It's like Alcantara faux suede but it is the material brand that Mercedes and Audi use. I promise you more foam in these seats is not more comfortable. You will not need it. I have driven hours in the seat and as long as you have the pad sets, they are more comfortable...

Instant weight loss and no strict diet with Tillett Seats!

We can embroider whatever you like in the headrests but we must include our brand somewhere on the seat. Usually that means our logo just below in a subtle colour, or on the panel at the top as in our Emira styled set. As for the colour, we can get a number colours in leathers. However, The...

    📓 Journals kitkat's Emira

I don't think five or six point will affect a Hans device. The most important thing with a Hans is that the belts are properly positioned on the Hans and that in a crash the belts do not come loose. Flex in the seat or brackets can do that. Over long lengths of belts to badly positioned anchors...

    📓 Journals kitkat's Emira

We have standard thread colours but we can buy in any colour. It just cost to buy the reel of thread. With stitch colours the shade does not have to be so close. On the seatbelt question, the only thing I would strongly recommend is a crotch strap. Whether five or six point the most important...

One B10 XL Carbon GRP seat with a pad set including along with the TEMIRA1 bracket and runner kit and the original seat belt receptor weigh's 10.5 kg. One OEM seat weigh's just over 25 kg in total. So the saving in total for two seats is 29 kg with B10 XL seats, 30 kg with standard width B10...

    📓 Journals kitkat's Emira

You should not need extra padding The normal set of panels will be fine. The seats get progressively more uncomfortable with more foam, unless you are small and need it for sizing. The shapes are scraped away mm by mm, so that there are zero pressure points. I always recommend the pad set for...

I've had roller bags behind my B10 XL seats. I put one seat forward one back and pass them through the middle. I'm not pretending it's as convenient but it's OK and the thinner back does create more space behind.

The problem is when a pad is hard the edges often can cause a problem. Sometimes we can take two mm off the composite and the shape goes from uncomfortable to comfortable.

The worst part about the Lotus Emira…

You set the angle using the holes but most will keep it level and just adjust the height to their preferred position. My 88 year old mother has no problem in the seats. All I will say is that you can't collapse into the seat. You do need to lower yourself in.

    Seats?

Don't judge a seat by it's cover. I spent 400 hours making sure your boney bottom does not feel the seat.

It didn’t affect anything on my car other than throwing up a notification about the airbags. My car has been back to the dealer a number of times with the seats installed.
