I'm going to wait for @mr.suntorytime 's mount to arrive (already ordered) before I install it, so there will be a slight delay but I believe he's hoping to ship by the end of this month, so it shouldn't be long!
I just received a quote from my local Lotus dealer (Lamborghini of Charlotte) for my first annual service of around $1250. As a result, I will likely take the car to an independent shop for the first oil change.
However, I am getting the 'maintenance due' reminder every time I start up now...
I had a bench flash from OE Tuning on my C63 AMG mercedes 8-9 years ago so the company has been around for a while and is legit.
I can't speak to any Lotus specific tuning. I'm sure they would be responsive with an email or call inquiry.
I'm really interested to hear impressions on this upgrade. I'm definitely in the market for a 440hp upgrade whether that be from JUBU or a local stateside option. This seems like a safe upgrade with hopefully very noticeable results. I'm looking for better throttle response and low down torque.
Great! Good to know that others have experienced this and it's not a concern. It's just unusual that it occured all of a sudden after 2,000 miles. Anyways, I won't worry about it given that it's still starting up after the delay.
I have about 2000 miles on my Emira and I was in the first batch of cars to reach NA. Over the last few days, I have noticed an intermittent delay when pressing the start button. Instead of the car firing right up, it takes 1-2 seconds after I press the button before the engine fires. I'm...
The last four of my VIN is just over 1200.
I'm big into dealing so I've been using a foam sprayer attached to a pressure washer. Pre-wash foam, rinse, foam again, contact wash, rinse with pressure washer
I suspect easy to install but I had my mechanic do it with the 3rd cat delete. Definitely worth it. I keep my valve open all the time. I've also programmed it with my homelink so I can switch between open and factory/OEM mode (although I never do that!)
I'm really interested in this intake but would love real world feedback. What facebook group? I belong to 4 different Lotus/Emira ones and I must have missed the Eventuri post.
I picked up my Emira within the first week of CARB approval going through. I have about 1100 miles on the car right now. I did all of the break-in with Sport mode. I've just started to experiment with Track mode. I know from discussions with cars in Europe, the only perceivable difference...
So far, with the voltage converter cable, I’ve had no issues powering my Escort Max 360c mkii.
Also it’s unlikely to work, I was curious if anyone had tried to power both a radar detector and dash cam, using the mirror usb and a usb splitter?
I purchased it from Milltekcorp.com
The 3rd cat delete wasn't showing on their website so I had to email them directly so that they could add it to my order.
US distributor based in TN
This is true. I also just installed a Milltek 3rd cat delete pipe with valve controller. The gurgles and pops could also be heard on the car in stock form, just a little quieter. Big fan of the change so far.
It's a local independent performance shop. The mechanic owns an Evora (and tracks it) and is very familiar with the Lotus brand. I'm fortunate to have the shop close to me.
I just had the Milltek 3rd cat delete pipe and exhaust valve controller installed today. Was in heavy traffic for 45 minutes on the drive home, but so far I absolutely love it! Just keeping the valve in OEM/factory mode (button 3) - the exhaust has a slightly louder and deeper tone. Nothing...
Just another data point - I drove my Emira home at 80mph for 3 hours after pickup. Although not the level of BMW or Mercedes with sound insulation, I really didn't find the cabin too noisy. I did make some calls during the trip and had no issues hearing people. There would have been no issues...
That's exactly what I plan to do. Don't think it's weird at all. I purposefully got the 'privacy glass delete' to allow the engine to be the most visible, yet I enjoy some tint on the side windows. I don't think it's going to look odd.
That's a Blendmount. I have a Blendmount in my Emira as well for my Escort detector. Not cheap but very high quality and so much better than the suction cup mounts.
Lotus Charlotte is part of the Lamborghini Charlotte on Independence Blvd and should be close. If you're looking for other exotics you can check out Foreign Cars Italia. I'm about 15-20 minutes south of the dealership. If I'm around I'd be happy to take a small road trip to show you mine...
Having now put 300 miles on my Emira over the past 2 days - I am still in love! I'm very pleased with the touring suspension and have no regrets there. It definitely feels 'special' every time I get in and drive the car. I'm also loving the alcantara steering wheel which I was unsure about...
Finally retrieved my Emira today and had 3 hours in the car (on the way home) to test out the sound system. Overall I think it's decent. Midrange and highs are pretty good. The system does suffer in the bass department, lacking punch and tight bass. Cranking up the bass only muddies the bass...
Decided to not wait any longer for the transport company and made the 3 hour 15 minute trip to Wilmington (from Charlotte) early this morning to finally retrieve my Emira. Got to familiarize myself with the car on the way home. Absolutely love it! There is a little bit of wind noise at 80mph...
Nice work getting that done today! Sounds really good!! Nice growl to it. Appreciate you posting the video, that’s super helpful
I assume that is valves wide open?
I'm glad you're happy with the KEF system. I'm a big music/sound guy so I was hoping it was going to have a decent sound system and I wasn't going to need to make upgrades or modifications
