    Introducing the Clark edition Emira

I agree with the comments so far. Almost great but they take it too far. The silver wing mirrors and yellow exhaust tips don’t work to my eye at all. I can almost get my head round the interior, I like the idea of separate coloured seats, but it’s just a bit too much of that scarlet red for my...

    DIY: Floating Console Modification

A thumbs up from me on the aesthetic. I probably won't do it due to time and competence, but I do like it stylistically.

To stripe or not to stripe?

+1 the stripe on the Magma car looks ace to my eyes.

    What is coming 16.09.24??

I went to have a little look at the Theory 1 yesterday. I thought it looked better in real life than in the photos to be fair. Not as nice as the Emira or the Evija but interesting. Definitely not cohesive from front to back, but I guess as a design study that's perhaps ok. In isolation, the...

    What is coming 16.09.24??

This whole thing pains me for so many reasons. Why spend money on this when there's a market for a manual petrol Emira convertible knocking on the door (yes, I know they'll never do one, I'm just disappointed in the direction it's all going). I love my Emira in almost every way, more of that please!

Way too much hot air with the windows down

I did a 7 hour drive at the weekend with the windows down in relatively warm UK weather but didn't notice this... I did notice that the aircon had packed in, which is why the windows were down.

Lotus Emira Key Fob cases - initial run

Mine turned up today! I've got to say the product is really nice. Great looking quality and really suits the key. I haven't held it up inside the car yet but at a first look I'm very happy. Kudos to the forum member making and selling these!

Lotus Emira Key Fob cases - initial run

I'm happy to have the car.... I can wait for the key case! I feel pretty fortunate that it's that way around.

Lotus Emira Key Fob cases - initial run

Is "Alcantara - Yellow Stitching" actually sold out or just not available yet? That's the one I'm after!
  15. Emira28

    Does the car scrape easily?

16 months of ownership and I'm yet to scrape, which is saying something considering the speed bumps around our area. In standard spec I don't think scraping is an issue.

I’d also be interested in alcantara with yellow stitching.

    UK Child Seat

Hi All - I had a quick search on the forum but couldn’t see anything. Has anyone found a good child seat that meets UK safety standards and works well in the Emira passenger seat? It’s for a 7-8 year old.

📓 Journals Hethel Yellow to go alongside Exige Sprint

Turns out, with fairly minimal effort, you can fit a spare set of Exige Toyo R888R’s into the Emira. Fronts on the shelf behind the seats and rears on the passenger seat 🙌 Can’t say it’s not practical! 🤣

    Oil Leak?

Just to close the loop on this, it was the power steering pump issue that was seen on some of the other early cars. All fixed under warranty.

    Evija X at Nurburgring

It's subjective, but I still think this is a staggeringly good looking car, even more so in this colour. I'm not an EV fan but again, that's quite individual.

    Oil Leak?

The working assumption from Lotus Silverstone is this could be power steering related. It's a few weeks till it can be properly inspected and fixed but I will report back once resolved in case anyone else spots something similar.

Good shout, that hadn't occurred to me!

    Oil Leak?

It's a manual. I can see some on the undertray and diffuser but I can't see where it's coming from beyond that. Waiting to hear back from Lotus Silverstone.

    Oil Leak?

Spotted this small puddle under the Emira yesterday (January build and >1,000 miles on the clock). Fluid is light brown and oily. I'm not an expert (at all), is this engine oil? How worried should I be about driving it? Hard to say exactly where it's coming from but it's rear right under the...

Cup Holder Alternatives & Drinks/Mugs That Fit

Once you've found a cup that fits and isn't too tall, the cupholders are largely fine in my experience. It's a bit annoying when your elbow knocks into them changing gear but I'd rather have that than not have them at all. These fit perfectly btw...

Seating Position - How do you find it?!?

At 5'6" I find the seats work pretty well when adjusted all the way to the floor. I've done several long trips without issue. They are quite wide and don't have a lot of lateral support but the Alcantara helps I lot I suspect as I don't slide around (and I'm reasonably slim).

Lotus Eletre and Emeya First Look and Drive!

Anything electric is just a hard no from me at this point. I drove the Electra recently and if you're into EVs then maybe it's interesting but I found it deeply uninspiring to drive. It was basically single-pedal driving such was the deceleration resulting from the regen braking. If it was fully...

Alcantara vs Leather steering wheel choice

I went for the alcantara, only 6 months and 1,000km in but so far I’m very happy I did. Sets it apart from my other cars and makes it more of an occasion.

📓 Journals Hethel Yellow to go alongside Exige Sprint

I’ve just returned from a superb 48 hours in north Wales, during which the Emira was faultless*. I’m around the 1,000km mark now and the car feels really well sorted. The exhaust note is maturing nicely and is a little louder with a few more pops on the overrun which is fun. It was hard to...

📓 Journals Hethel Yellow to go alongside Exige Sprint

I am falling beyond in love with this car, I have to say. It’s just nailing everything I could have asked for. So much presence from such a well proportioned mid sized car. It drives like an absolute dream and just makes me want to keep going forever. I took my Sister out for a drive and she...

    Scorpion Tracker

I would call Scorpion. This was how mine looked and it transpired to be a faulty unit and had to be replaced. The thing to keep an eye on is if it’s a requirement of your insurance. Scorpion were great at responding with me on this.
