Because any number of things make more sense to attribute the difference in gas mileage to than the oil type. (change in weather, direction of travel, etc). Causation vs Correlation analysis going on.

Just my 2 cents, I wouldn't buy a $100K car that I'm unsure if I like it. So few Emiras will be sent to the US, let someone who loves it be the first owner. If it's 50/50 between these two cars, I'm not convinced you will actually like this kind of car.

He's an "old Lotus" fanboi. Which to me, means he'd have the most reason to be MORE critical of a heavier car, with lots of extras. The fact that he likes it and identifies it as being uniquely Lotus is quite the compliment for the car.

My car has red interior and sports suspension, but otherwise looks exactly the same. I love it and have been very happy. Congrats on yours and hope you love it just as much.

Just cover the engine cover with a towel before starting. When finished slowly open the rear deck lid and then remove the towel.

I'd just be worried it would look like Lotus screwed up and didn't use metallic on part of the car. I wouldn't get black pack if I got Cosmos Black, but that's just my opinion and I should never pretend that I have style.

I just love that one of their major gripes is "hot luggage". This is when you are really searching for anything to complain about.

I have an FE2.0 in the 1200s and a November 23 build.

Build month was on a sticker on the frame of the drivers door in the US. Not the specific date though. And I'm not sure if it's the same place in other countries.

I guess I don't get the point of deciding this cars performance based on 0-60 times or Butt Dyno feelings. If you wanted specific performance in those areas I agree there are better cars. If you want characteristics that matter on canyon roads or a race course then you will likely be far more...

Holman is the dealer I purchased from. That price is crazy. That being said, I'm in Kansas City and plan on having BOEFAB do all the maintenance on the Emira.
