Why won’t the bloody thing start?!

Todd from Everyday Driver had a non-starting issue during his recent road trip. Sounds like a different issue than the one Andjons was experiencing, but Todd's seemed to resolve itself after sitting for a while. Disconcerting, but glad he was able to continue his trip! The dealership in SF did...

Osmium Silver Lotus Emira photo thread

I mean, it's better looking from every angle compared to the Supra, but it's remarkable how much wider the Emira looks. Stats say it's only 2 inch difference, but looks like a foot.

I'm gunna guess V6 auto. The exhaust note and whine say V6 + supercharger to me, and the quick gear change says auto.

Oh good to know! I’ll follow that for my next car. Thanks!

Anybody looking for a very fast Porsche?

A half cage and fuel cell on a Turbo S with stock seats is a curious build. 🤔 My guess is the owner removed some of the other aftermarket bits before putting this up for sale. I wouldn't be surprised to see holes in the floor for a anti-sub belts among other track oriented things. While I've...

What's the actual cost of PPF Film? Bulk? Pre-cut?

For what it's worth, I DIYed the PPF on my Supra, and have probably 1/3 coverage (front bumper, headlights, front fenders, rocker panels, rear spats). My hood was already done from the factory with a bikini cut. I purchased precut Xpel with wrapped edges from a company out of Canada (who now...

Osmium Silver Lotus Emira photo thread

Ok cool. I've not seen Apex Blue on an S2k, but I do have a Refraction Blue Supra, and I'd say Seneca is very close to that. I unfortunately couldn't park mine side by side to really get a perfect comparison. And fwiw, I've had my Supra for 3 years now and still love the color. Get complements...

Osmium Silver Lotus Emira photo thread

FWIW, Seneca and Osmium are my 2 front runners. I've seen them both in person on the same day, and you can't go wrong either way...which makes the decision all the more difficult.

    Lotus Type 135 EV sportscar

I hear ya. My wife has a Model 3 Long Range, and while quick it's not what I'd call engaging. That said, I've read that the Taycan is quite fun to drive. If manufacturers can find a way to lower the weight, EV sports cars might not be too bad. I'm keeping an open mind.

Track Armour is great! I will say it's basically impossible to install over complex surfaces without air bubbles and such, but that's not really the point. It's a great temporary solution that protects well.

Hmm, that does look odd. I’d ask um about it and see what they say. It does look like it had some sort of work done on it

Today I checked out the Seneca Blue car that was delivered to the Dallas dealership as I wanted to see that color in person. It’s gorgeous! Looks great with black wheels and yellow calipers. Without seeing them side by side, Seneca seems to be very close in color to my Refraction Blue Supra...

What are some car designs that you hated at first, but then grew to love over time?

Heh, I'm with you about the Supra growing on me. Before it came out, in photos I didn't care for it. In person for the first time I found myself kinda liking it, and then in the A91 Refraction Blue I got, I think it's quite good looking from some angles (3/4 rear especially), but not from...

Yeah, I can't see how using a rotary as a generator is going to provide a pleasing noise. It'll just be a constant buzz as there won't be any running up and down the rev range with speed...unless I'm missing something.

The great big "all the customer test drives" thread

Yeah, I hear you. I’ve watched basically every video on YouTube about the Emira, and most reviews do rave bout the steering. Jason Cammisa is an exception though, which before driving the car, I thought his feelings were…odd…but after driving it, I see what he means...

The great big "all the customer test drives" thread

So I was near the DFW dealer today for a work lunch and decided to test drive the Emira again (auto this time). With fresh eyes, I liked more! The interior on this one seemed better screwed together, but that's likely because by my salesman's estimation it's had like 1/2 the number of lifetime...

Honestly, the only real joy of any automatic (DCT or good slush box) is the snappy response in shifts, both up and down. All the reviews of the i4 show that it misses that mark by a very wide margin. I was once possibly interested in the i4 (lighter weight, easier to add more power, etc) but...
