Paging @GRP to confirm. On the Evora there is an airbox clip that's a pain to reach from the top. That and the air flow duct tube thing. I don't even know if the Emira has that. 🤷‍♂️

Maybe not on the Emira! I assumed it was the same process for both.

Just gotta remove the rear wheel and pull the fender liner and it's pretty quick. Most people who complain about it being a difficult job tried to do everything from the top. Removing the stock airbox from that cramped space can be a bit of a pain.

Oil changes are pretty easy on these cars and it's all Toyota parts and synthetic oil. No reason a dealer should charge any more than $150.

Bumping this old thread to see if anyone's heard anything official about Lotus Advanced Performance offering performance and cosmetic upgrades for the Emira. It seems as though Lotus announced the LAP program and then it's been radio silence other than a few special Evijas with fancy paint jobs.

Yes, this looks like the result of a fractured brake pad.

How hard are you pressing? I haven't noticed anything like you described with my Evora. I did notice on my buddy's Emira that the front bumper cover has a lot of flex to it. No strange noises though.

Brake fluid is super easy to do yourself with a cheap power bleeder on these cars. The clutch fluid, however, is a PITA due to the bleeder position on the front side of the motor/up against the firewall). Hopefully it's more accessible on the Emira than the Evora.

You can accomplish that just fine with silicone hoses. For example, I ran this turbo inlet on one of my Subaru STIs with no issues. It's multi layer silicone reinforced by a SS support wire: And here are the silicone boost hoses on my 300ZX twin turbo.. No issues with melting or collapsing...

From what I've been told by a contact on the assembly line, the problem isn't with the actual pump, but something to do with the lines. Lotus is well aware of the issue and has been for the last year.

PDI = pre-delivery inspection (usually done by the dealer). We already know Lotus QC needs work. 🙃

At least PDI caught it. NJ dealer had quite a few arrive with failed AC and PS issues. Keep us updated..
