Just out of interest I took a screenshot of Harrys video and ran it through Topaz Labs Gigapixel AI at 4X. Took some noise out and did a colour balance. This was the result. That red does look nice.

On my S3 Exige there are mud flaps on the front and protective clear film on the lower front of the rear wheel arch. That film is peppered after 80,000Km and I would hate to see the paintwork without it. What stops stone chips on the Emira in the same spot - will the lower black pack cop it all...

Now obviously, being located in Australia I haven't seen any of the pre production cars (Blue or Grey) and have only been able to look at the various paint samples people have kindly posted (6 colours). I am presuming all of the above have been small batch hand sprayed and not from the new...

Significant difference in engine sizes!

Im am seriously torn between these two ( I have digitally created those colours based on some of those samples but it gives you an idea) If both were parked in a carpark which one would you look at first :-)

Hopefully someone with a Soul Red car can get to a showroom and place it on their car for a comparison. That would be most helpful.

These samples are going to every dealer in the world so small samples are practical - I would bet they don't have 6 fenders in stock as production hasn't started yet. Hopefully we will see sprayed cars by February 22.

I have taken samples from the various "6 colour patches" provided at yesterday's viewing. The one that seemed to be vastly different from the configerater was Magma Red. One of those photos (and there are many) showed the Magma Red half in shade and half in direct sunlight. I matched the colours...
