Toothbrush !!! Sod that. If I can do it with a Jet wash, its unlikely to get done. I have sprayed Citrus wash on the whole wheel, which obviously gets the calliper, and they come up pretty good after that. I use the citrus wash neat on the wheels.

The engine is under glass, then covered up by an engine cover. I4 is terrible for this, V6 is only a tad better

Is the volume of air coming out of each side the same and its just a different temperature? If different volume, then maybe a blockage ? If same volume, then not a clue

They have since changed it to 3yrs, cars sold by Lotus since then will only qualify for the 3yr warranty. 2nd hand sales do not reset the warranty duration, it is what it was at the time Lotus first sold...

Surely its V6s are 400bhp, the I4 is 360bhp. Nothing to do with it being first edition or not

I thought all First Editions came with the KEF system and that only FEs had been delivered so far. If thats accurate, then the car you are looking at must have the KEF system, even if its not actually stated

Seems crazy to be comparing cars that are 50% to 200% more than the Emira and then saying they are the better car. The Autocar review has the Cayman and the Alpine as a better car and both are cheaper. That seems both a fair comparison and a sad situation

49mpg on a US Gallon !!! Damn thats incredible. my 44mpg is a UK Gallon and was over approx 180 mile trip

My primary reason is maintenance costs. If you track it, the additional costs of tracking My secondary reason is, I like the understated design of the Emira, compared to any McLaren. I prefer to fly under the radar, not be the guy shouting "Here I am, look at me"

On a positive note, I got 44mpg when on the motorway sticking to the 70mph limit(Wife was in the car) I have also got it as low as 22mpg, but that was over quite a short run on twisty B-Roads
