How about take the tpms out n dry the tires too ? Or just get new tpms ? They are quite cheap ..on the internet... not at lotus I'm sure

Makes sense ...or put a bit of oil or grease on the o ring.... mine has not done that recently...seems like it's loosened in now.... but it it does again, will do above.... Speaking of set screw. I filed mine with a nail file so it's not as sharp edged...since some one posted about it, been...

Wow....ok.... think I ll try putting air in & try resetting the tpms light with my obd2 reader.... but also check the accuracy of each transmitter with an accurate manual pressure reader....

Can we just use our own obd2 reader...autel, after, m reset the tpms light ?

I see.... I ll remeasure mine manually too..... I thought they correlated before but.... Smh.... such simple thing they can't get right.... none of my other cars w tpms have this kinda issues ... 😕

If it's bad tpms, how is it that I have all pressures reading showing ?? The ecu tied to the tpms is sending the yellow low pressure light to v the dash board so....

Oh boy... did read elsewhere that some one's tpms was at fault.... I just want my yellow dash light to go off.... especially when the pressure is all normal as per the car on other screen.... British car electrical gremlins are alive n well. Still to this date. Smh.

Ok....I have a tpms programmer..will try.... it's annoying cause the car says that "all pressure normal " yet the orange dash light is ON.... if the tpms units are bad, it wouldn't send pressure reading so. ..it's something to do with the lotus ecu itself.... my car supposedly had the latest...

I typically do all my break in oil changes at 1000 miles then 3 to 5k ,depending on how I drove it .... # of canyon driving vs track days , etc ... car manufacturers have built in obsolescence of their vehicles in mind.... n other factors not mentioned 😒 Also the satisfaction of doing an oil...

Hi, my tire pressure readings are correct.... 31,35 ... but it's shows as low on the dash... but car computer says it's fine... What gives? It did that n went off the first time.... this time, it's not going away.... how is this fixed ? James R 1st Ed hethel yellow

another Q i have re: oil filter drain plug..... i know why it's there but .... i just plan on dropping the oil filter onto my foam lined oil drain pan below my lift on each oil changes...I don't ever want to open the drain plug.... Is there any contraindications to NOT touching the drain plug...

Sound system "sucks"...I ll be modifying mine with Hertz speakers n JL audio Amps... no factory system beats aftermarket stuff imo... not even the mark Levinson in lexus LC500...

Had CEL come on.... after I had my 1st no start issue after Paeking it... & my car was supposed to have the latest software upgrade.... any way, the code was "U0121" failure to communicate wth ABS module A... I just Cleared it w the reader... Just more Unexplained lotus "characters " .. smh...

hi, just got the '24 1st edition.... was wandering if the stock suspension is adjustable ?? i d like to lower the stance by about an inch all around.... please advise.... and i will align with a bit more aggressive setup.... what do you recommend ? more toe and camber or ?!? james R

what does the milTek valve controller do for the emira ? i noticed the emira has 3 settings for exh; tour sport and track .... ; is there 1 valve that is partially open for sport mode or , are there 2 valves that work independently to give 3 settings ? getting 3rd cat delete for sure tho...

im sure it's possible thing.... it would have to be something that screws onto the oil fill cap thread and sealed well so that we can dump oil into it, quart at at time, what ever.... w/o the worry of it leaking onto the valve cover.... it's just so weird that toyota designed the 3.5L block...

Re Q3...I ordered both funnels...gonna see if I can use both to create a solution... e.g. use the clear plexi part of one funnel with the angled funnel to go into it... n maybe have a seal so I can dump oil on top n not worry about any over flow as it tries to flow in between the grates...will...

Re Q2...I heard from a Toyota mechanic that the grate over the fill hole is there for better flow of oil over the cams....it allows gravity flow of oil over the valve cams when first starting the car... it's a Toyota thing....

Great write ups on oil change... the best 👌 Few Qs... 1. Why do we need to worry about oil filter drain? It's vertical... just take the whole thing down n put the new filter element n put it back on ?? 2. Why is there a block in the oil cap ? Is that a Toyota thing? I've never seen any...

Ah... tnx for the reply.... weird cause I drove in sunny so calif after noon n still got condensation.... hope it doesn't get weird haze etc over the years.... it's obviously not a "sealed" beam head light.... another lotus "character ".....?

just got the car in so. calif... i noticed that both head lights have water condensation in side... i have not washed the car yet..i did drive some 50 miles since getting the car...on dry cooler weather... has anyone else gotten this and where do we plug the outside so..... lmk, James R

great write up.. so, does the emira/evora NOT have a usual oil pour place through common cap like other cars ? i have to have one of these plastic funnels to thread onto the oil input hole, then pour oil through it ? hope it's all same as evora.... , good thing we can just get toyota parts...
