It will not heat soak for short street pull or 1/4 - 1/2 mile drag race but for tracking it is another story. Heat soak and durability could become a problem over time if tracked.

We all knew the I4 ecu was detuned to get to 360hp from a marketing point of view. The I4 SE is now at 400HP. I bet it will be a lot easier/ faster to get a tune for that Mercedes engine than the good old Toyota.

From my point of view I am pretty sure they can get 30-40hp at best with just an ECU tune alone. To get 50-60hp you will need some minor bolt on part like intake, exhaust on top. This car deserve a 450hp to have a great power to weight ratio and to be as fast as a Cayman GT4 with 414HP.

That’s why I am wondering why they lowered the Emira to 6800rpms. It doesn’t make any sense other then make room for a better car version later on based on a marketing point of view.
