This is shocking from Lotus if true. While I'll be happy because that's the model I want it just shows how bad communication is. When I went to b&c both they and Lotus reps told me it would be barely cheaper than the v6 anyway.. maybe this is why

Yes and no. I've had cars with it and it's a horrendously slow and inefficient way to charge which causes a lot of heat. Lotus aren't exactly famed for mod cons either. While it would be handy to chuck the phone under there the USBC ports will do a way better job.
