I noticed this on my test drive, and did mention it in my writeup on the test drives thread... Looks like it is something we are just going to have to get used to. Probably (and hopefully) only really noticeable in certain conditions.

So, I suppose it is possible (probable) then that the lever/control mechanism is indeed from the Volvo parts bin, hence the left/right to shift, even though the actual gearbox is same box as was in Evora. That would make complete sense to me.

Regarding the tyres, I have both on my RX-8 (different car to the Emira, in different sizes, obviously, but is a direct comparison of the two tyres)... On the road there is very little difference in comfort/harshness between the two, so doubt most people would be able to tell much, if any...

The oxidisation in question here is on the block/supercharger, not the top cover. As Porter pointed out, is quite normal... Is actually one of the reasons I have spec'd dark tinted windows, as all aluminium components do this unless painted, anodised or treated in some way.
