Was looking at the pictures, thinking something just doesn't look quite right to me... I think it is the round headlights, I just don't think they do it any favours.

I assume this announcement is to tie-in with Lotus showing the i4 at Goodwood from tomorrow, so any 'new customers' go in at the new price.

There is a significant amount of work on the V6 gearbox, including machining the housing, replacing internals with Lotus spec parts, I would have thought this would take many hours in itself... Although there is also work on the i4 gearbox, as they put the 4wd internals (hardened, I believe)...

Is great to get your input as you have clearly worked on a vehicle production line, but perhaps you don't understand that the Lotus factory tours are literally walking alongside the entire factory floor, seeing all elements being assembled, able to see...

I would suspect a calibration issue, rather than a mechanical issue. Suggest taking it to your dealer and asking them to investigate... Although they may not have an answer if nobody else has had the issue, they can at least investigate.

Well, the rear chassis for the i4 is (majority) aluminium, so it will definitely be more reliable... Sarcasm, sorry! But to put it another way, don't think you can correlate a (somewhat) different electrical system in itself with whether it will be more or less reliable, tbh. As for batteries...

Loads. Majority being built that I could see at the time were i4. (There were i4 and V6 engines in the production hall, so probable they were making a mixture). All of the built ones I could see were badged LOTUS NYO (so, for the China market). Although there were lots without badges going...

You are right, just checked the configurator and it is showing 208g/km (UK)... wonder when they confirmed that?... Our tour guide clearly didn't have the latest info then!

On our factory tour this week, we were told that the i4 would be under 200g/km (they said either 195 or 199, I cannot remember exactly which)

I will be there on the Thursday (as a guest at a corporate event, but will get some time to look around... and visit to the Lotus stand, obviously 😁)

Another step they pointed out: They now have an extra QC step that takes a selection (not all cars) from final production to run extra QC checks (not sure how long this has been set up, but suggestion was this was relatively new)

One complete car is built (comes off the end of the production line) every 23 minutes. The whole production line is broken down into stages that are all 'complete' in 23 minutes, before moving on to the next stage, etc.

Nope, lots of Nimbus Grey, Seneca Blue and Hethel Yellow, several Dark Verdant (honestly had to look hard at a couple as they appeared black at first, but definitely Dark Verdant) and Magma Red, just a couple in Shadow Grey. None of the new colours unfortunately.

My current 'fun' car... Used for track days, but still fully road legal and gets a lot of positive reactions / attention when driving around. Not really a 'placeholder', as will be keeping it and using it plenty once we get our Emira, but is the only 'sports car' in the current fleet...

We had a factory tour on Monday, and were given some stats on current build rate, probably not new news, but might be helpful to work out projected build rates: • On target for 6,150 per year • 2 shifts in full operation • Running at 23 mins per car (and have been for the last 3 months)...

And on the subject of 'In'... Both me and the missus are absolutely 100% still IN after seeing Seneca Blue for the first time in person (lots of them) on our factory tour. Is a much deeper colour than most cameras seem capable of capturing (appears lighter in pics than it is in reality) 💙💙💙

Actually seen a newly built McLotus one at the factory on Monday, in final test stage, so perhaps not a totally rare spec

So, slight update, not sure how helpful it is as it is only partial info... Did a factory tour today and we were told that the cars are set up with 0.8 neg camber front and 1.8 neg camber rear (to help bias towards understeer rather than oversteer on the limit apparently). I did ask about...

That is a really nice green, would love to see it on the Emira, to see how it accentuates the shapes, for sure. As for those wheels on the Eletra, I actually quite like them.

That "In Production" stage label is really misleading, as it mostly means "Spec locked-in and we are planning to produce it some time in the next year or two (hopefully)"

I have been playing around on the configurator (like most people here!!!)... I do really like the Meridian Blue, think it adds a classy look to the car, similar in a way to Dark Verdant. I think this would be my second choice out of all the colours, but will be sticking with Seneca Blue, as...
