Maybe I was lucky, but I was able to see the Grey car in person along with the color samples. Didn't get to test drive it of course, but that is the nature of the beast for an early adopter, thankfully there are many similarities to the Evora you could make judgement on.

When I first signed up on one of the other big Lotus forums, a member poked at the enthusiasm of all of the new members that signed up for the Emira, basically saying, just wait, you will face delay after delay and enjoy trying to source parts. Starting to see where he was coming from. 😆

I looked at the Supra's before deciding on the Emira, the Supra has a ton of aftermarket support, and also the better dealer network. The Emira will be less likely to pop up on your daily commute though or at a car show, also having the manual in the Emira was a big plus, but I'm hearing...

I'm driving 200 miles to bring the car home so this is great news for me. I know Tom mentioned it was something they discussed, and that the Evora came with it from the factory.

Orlando updated it to $2500 refundable deposit to get on the waiting list, and additional $5000 non refundable to submit order. I believe that's what all of the dealers are doing though

That's what I'm thinking, but with the forged wheels and 2 piece brakes that come with the FE, unless the 2 piece are optional on the base, which I would hope they are. Top Gear mentioned the base comes with 1 piece steel vs the 2 piece aluminum and steel on FE.
