    Emira Review Index [V6 FE]

Oh to put this in perspective, the 718 GT4's time in the list shows an asterisk, meaning it was on a WET track! The 718 GT4 is as fast on a wet track as an Emira on dry track and on Cup2's. It makes me sad.

Car looks absolutely stunning! Except for privacy glass option I have exactly the same spec on order: Nimbus, Sports, Blackpack, Black Wheels, Black Calipers.

    Emira Review Index [V6 FE]

It was a whole 8 seconds a lap slower that 718 GT4 RS (1:51.9) . I run 1:56 with my Caterham 485 on street tires at the same track. Emira ran 2:00,0. Audi RS3 1:57.

    Emira Review Index [V6 FE]

Those who come out of the 'old' Lotus cars will know exactly what this means when they drive Emira. Few journalist have pointed to the same...its not as sharp, alive, turn-in is slow...less as what they would have expected. I test drove one, and you can read my review - too much...

Autovisie Netherlands Supertest: Emira disappoints Received the final edition of Autovisie Netherlands in the mailbox today - with the yearly Supertest at Assen racetrack. This year the Emira was part of it. Including Sports suspension and Cup2's on a dry track, so had high hopes...

    Emira, 718 GTS, 911, A110 comparison

I would not have to think a single minute…and get a 992 911 if that was on the list. Different league compared to Emira. I am not a Porsche fan, but still have 2 991’s in my garage as best car in the world for daily and overall use.

The great big "all the customer test drives" thread

Testdrove V6 Manual Final Edition this weekend. Touring suspension, goodyear tires. I owned a 350V6 Exige until beginning of this year...modified with forged wheels, nitron dampers, lots of carbon, sabelt belts, etc. Absolutely loved that car...superfast on track with beautiful balance and...

OK talk to me about the Alpine 110

I test drove it…didn’t like it. Sounds like an espresso machine, lacks power. I assume its ok depending what you are used to. But we arrived in V12 fashion and laughed so hard after driving the Alpine 1 minute. It felt horrible.

    The watches thread

Nice a speedy! I love those…got the black and yellow Dark Side of the Moon to go with my Giallo Modena F12 (black alcantara - yellow stitching interior), a Grey Side of the Moon to go with Abu Dhabi Grey FF, an Alaska to go with the white GT3 and Yaris GR….a 1965 Ed White in mint condition to go...

That's it!! I'm Pulling my Deposit...

That is a super nice Evora. It will remain very very special for years to come and produced in very low numbers. I don't think you regret it, and can be happy with what you have.

Harry's Garage videos - visit to Hethel and Matt Windle interview, Emira collection and drive

Markets are extremely volatile at the moment…no one can predict what is happening! A promise today will be forgotten tomorrow. That said…I absolutely loved the video and still very much looking forward to arrival of the Emira!

    World's first Emira customer delivery?

Sorry Tom, your first assumption is a UK assumption. They didn’t tell everyone deliveries would be in deposit order date with UK first. That‘s a misconception. They told international markets a different story...I have been told a different story from day 1. Your second assumption…not...

    World's first Emira customer delivery?

I believe it is very 'fair' Emira's get distributed to important markets for Geely in EU and a 'first come first served' principle feels very unfair, if you realize that Emira was also presented at different dates around EU... Also it is common sense for Geely to allocate them to different...

Evora 5* Evo car review to Emira 4*

LOVE this review…and it makes me miss my lovely Exige V6 which I sold to get an Emira when reading it. Such a sharp car, lovely to drive. But they were failures when looking at numbers sold. So Emira needed to be milder, more attractive to larger crowds. So that’s what we get. They have not...

    Redline

To my 'knowledge'... High revving is 8000-9000 rpm, e.g. like a 458 Ferrari, S2000, GT3. Mostly all - no turbo's and especially no superchargers. Hp is a function of Torque/Force times revs. So if you rev it up a bit and make it breath a bit better you easily get to 410 and 430hp on the...

    Redline

Its supercharged. The beauty of a mechanical charger is there's no gap, it builds pressure immediately and from low revs. The downside, it makes no sense revving it up high...to much pressure and mechanical stress on charger and engine. I loved the engine in my Exige V6 for its low rpm grunt...

    Options costs

All is according to expectations if one just reads what is going on in the world. Offcourse first deliveries also go to Europe. The whole mumbo jumbo about when someone put a deposit in, only applies for the UK line up, and Geely will 100% distribute Emira's to interesting EV markets for the...

Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

Supply chain issues are a bit exaggerated. It is not as huge as people say. I have been told at Lotus its not down to big issues/parts, but down to only a few missing parts and varies per spec. My Yaris GR came ahead of initial planned schedule 2 months ago. And I had to rush to the dealer...

Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

My dealer is keeping me nicely up to date on what is going on. Same for NL Geely headquarters. My expectation/information is: - Dealer demo car arriving late September - My car arriving November (only jumped 1 month from original delivery date) You can hold me to that. Has anyone anticipated...

Anyone received their 30 day notification yet?

This for sure is going to happen...if you were Geely, would you: A. Stack up a pile of Emira's on an island that separated itself from rest of the World to owners who are whining about every little effort made to get cars finished? B. Or distribute Emira's more evenly around the world in more...

Counterstrike...Valve never made their planned re-lease date. It created one of the most iconic companies ever. Do your research and you will find how cool it is for true passionate people to not be bothered by dead-lines, but just release when the product is ready and GOOD! I am waiting for...

    Does 2.0 has 400 HP ?

Plus the question: does it run thin oil, is the chamber pressurized, do you such on the exhaust... Then on rolling road you DON'T MEASURE BHP. You GESTIMATE some form of power and actually it is only useful to measure improvements made under same conditions and/or to compare different cars on...

Zinc Grey Lotus Emira Photo Thread

Don't like this colour on the Emira. Makes it look cheap. On an Audi station like RS4 it looks cool...but I believe Emira is soooo much more design wise that it deserves a more 'high end finish' vs the primer-look of Nardo Grey ;-)

    FIRST LOOK: New Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992) - 518bhp, £195k and DRS! | Top Gear

Man...I would still love to own and drive one on the street...the feature for the Autobahn where you use the DRS on the straights and close the wings when a corner approaches is just amazing...would love to try!

So is it a great car?

Come on, every Lotus adapt who has driven Emira confirmed it is WAY BETTER and faster than Exige. I owned Exige V6, which is fantastic. Now waiting for Emira to arrive.

CAR Mag Sports Car Test 2022- YouTube Video

Journo’s have done a proper job so far. Coming from Exige 350 and still owning 991.2 GT Manual…the story is very consistent so far…. - engine and gear shift are older, and not like a GT3. Lotus can’t manufacture a new engine, and took the decision 400hp and the old Toyota engine are ’good...

CAR Mag Sports Car Test 2022- YouTube Video

For me it is clear after another review like this: - Get touring suspension in case you want a grocery getter…soft and equipped for bumpy road - Get Sport and Cup2 in case you want a sportscar and the best possible Emira.

    Henry Catchpole - Carfection review

When it gets to comparing M4 and Emira: If you own one (sports)car...nobody will notice the 'difference' as you have nothing to compare it with...and the Emira will be fantastic! Rennlist not a fan of Emira

Its all about expectations… For a high volume manufacturer like Porsche I expect robust bullet proof build quality. And I love my 911’s. They are bullitproof and I love every bit of it, everything feels so high quality. For Lotus…small volumes, quirky…I forgive their flaws, appreciate their...

    Henry Catchpole - Carfection review

To challenge the commenters; I am reading comments here and wonder: - Who has owned a proper Lotus before? - Who can actually drive a car fast…as in on its limit? - Who are fast on track? Then I read all this mumbo jumbo about which suspension to choose, disappointing steering in tight...

EU reprieve on low volume ICE cars until 2035

Its not academic, its reality. Audi has already announced it will invest 0 eur into any new past 2025 ICE...also not for rest of world. Those who belief that manufacturers will make huge investment into a next generation ICE (read EUR7)... I don't. Numbers will be limited as also in ROW they...

EU reprieve on low volume ICE cars until 2035

EU forces main manufacturers into Electric. There is no real viable alternative option for them for ICE in EU. So no randomly available, read affordable, ICE engines with homologation. Sure there will be Porsche GT ICE, Ferrari ICE...but not available to Lotus. Even though ICE engines will be...

EU reprieve on low volume ICE cars until 2035

So tell me...which ICE engine do you still think will exist to be used by Lotus in e.g. 2030? Hardly any investment is going into ICE engine development at the moment as mainstream manufacturers need to move to electric. There won't be engines for Lotus, even if they would be allowed to use them.
