Oh to put this in perspective, the 718 GT4's time in the list shows an asterisk, meaning it was on a WET track! The 718 GT4 is as fast on a wet track as an Emira on dry track and on Cup2's. It makes me sad.

I test drove it…didn’t like it. Sounds like an espresso machine, lacks power. I assume its ok depending what you are used to. But we arrived in V12 fashion and laughed so hard after driving the Alpine 1 minute. It felt horrible.

Its supercharged. The beauty of a mechanical charger is there's no gap, it builds pressure immediately and from low revs. The downside, it makes no sense revving it up high...to much pressure and mechanical stress on charger and engine. I loved the engine in my Exige V6 for its low rpm grunt...

Don't like this colour on the Emira. Makes it look cheap. On an Audi station like RS4 it looks cool...but I believe Emira is soooo much more design wise that it deserves a more 'high end finish' vs the primer-look of Nardo Grey ;-)

Journo’s have done a proper job so far. Coming from Exige 350 and still owning 991.2 GT Manual…the story is very consistent so far…. - engine and gear shift are older, and not like a GT3. Lotus can’t manufacture a new engine, and took the decision 400hp and the old Toyota engine are ’good...

For me it is clear after another review like this: - Get touring suspension in case you want a grocery getter…soft and equipped for bumpy road - Get Sport and Cup2 in case you want a sportscar and the best possible Emira.

When it gets to comparing M4 and Emira: If you own one (sports)car...nobody will notice the 'difference' as you have nothing to compare it with...and the Emira will be fantastic! Its the absolute perfect weekend blaster for any moment and any road! Small and nimble, gorgeous looking, manual, V6...
