Is anyone running 19" track wheels?

The DWS 06+ and PS AS4 and some Falken all seasons are all also available in the 20" OEM sizes.

Is anyone running 19" track wheels?

So, now is the time to decide on the wheel size and tires, since I need to figure out what to buy from @GRP . I'd like to keep the front/rear diameter ratio as close of a match as possible so that ESC is happy. Stock, the rear tires are 0.7% taller than the fronts, so basically the same. OEM...

Stock Lotus Emira is soft on track but still impressive

It's nice to hear someone else's feedback from the track. I ran mine on the F1 SuperSport (touring tire). Does your car have the touring or sport suspension?

Is anyone running 19" track wheels?

You can disable the automatic parking brake in the car settings, I already have. You don't need to remove the parking brake :)

Is anyone running 19" track wheels?

The Emira GT4 I checked out at the dealer had 18" wheels and no parking brake at all.

Is anyone running 19" track wheels?

It would work, and it'd probably throw a code or something, however, it's already enough of a pain to swap wheels for track days, I can't even imagine removing the parking brake each time. I have my limits. I love my Emira, it has two things which annoy me; the seats and the electric parking brake.

Here's a pic of the offending item. Notice how close the motor housing is to the inside of the OEM 20" wheel.

Is anyone running 19" track wheels?

What "needs" to be done is that the actuator motor needs to be moved to fit an 18" wheel. Doing so simply and reliably is the hard part. The motor drives a gearbox which in turn compresses the caliper. Since none of us amateurs or small companies have the resources to develop a new actuator...

Is anyone running 19" track wheels?

Yeah, I've contacted GRP a few weeks ago. As soon as they tell me that the wheels fit, I'm buying a set from them. I also suspect it might be possible to reconfigure the rear parking brake gearbox and turn the motor inwards, towards the center of the wheel. If I can find some time, I'll see if I...

Is anyone running 19" track wheels?

Does anyone know whether 19" wheels fit on the car? I did some rough measuring, and I know an 18" wheel won't fit in the rear, but it looks like a 19" might. An 18" wheel should fit in the front. The 20 inch wheels on the car really limit tire choice, and I destroyed my set of OEM Goodyear F1...

    Emira Limited

Aww, bummer. I was hoping for some better factory seat options, in the hopes I could retrofit them into mine.

What did you do to your Emira today?

I replaced the annoying touch controls with proper physical buttons. Before: After:

New owner in Bay Area, CA. Picked up an Emira to complement my Elise

Hi All, I've had an Elise since 2008 and I got the itch for a new car, and after test driving a bunch of really cool cars, I decided to go with another Lotus. I figure with each being broken half the time, between the two of them, I'll have one car. This is my 6MT yellow Emira, next to its...
