    Headlight indicator on instrument cluster?

Nope, there's no indication that the lights are on, other than seeing what they illuminate. It's silly.

It looks like they rolled over too much. I set my tire pressures with the help of a probe pyrometer and they rolled over less than yours. i can snap a picture later, as the scrub is still obvious. A pyrometer makes it obvious. Linear temperature gradient on tire = correct pressure. For me, this...

Sway bars transfer some amount of compression from one side to the other. I retained the OEM sway bar. The suspension now compresses less when cornering, so it moves the sway bar less, and the higher spring rate on the other side resists sway bar rotation more as well, so on net, relative to...

For me, costs are important as well, and I don't want to do too much to the car. I'm not going to add power or aero since it's expensive, but also, I don't want to mess up a beautiful car. I'm mostly done. Maybe one day I'll do the seat, but that's a reversible change. The biggest cost is...

Sadly, I have no video from my first track day, and extremely overexposed, unusable video from my second one, because these Aim Smartycams are a pain in the butt to configure. I still miss the occasional session recording due to strange behaviors. The car definitely rolled and pitched a bit...

Interesting! Mine doesn't lock. I pulled it out all the way, no ratchet. Passenger side locks.

I had a CG lock in my gear - it was so old the spindle for the tightener rusted apart, so struck out there. Also, the Emira driver's seat doesn't ratchet, so that tight seat belt trick doesn't work. That torso strap looks hilarious - I wonder if it works.

Yeah, but leather ages more nicely. Alcantara gets quite funky with time. One of the reasons I bought my Emira over the used 600Lt I was considering was the sad state of 5 year old alcantara in the McLaren.

I'm not going to butcher the car for now, and I'll be content to flop around for a while. It's just so pretty inside. When I get sick of it, i guess it'll be tillet B10. I think I'll wait for the passenger side airbag and weight sensor issues to be resolved.

That's assuming the driver isn't the slowest link in the chain, as here :) I think this Emira, driven well on the 80TW tires I was doing is capable of a 2:04 on that track. This is my goal without slicks. Without a doubt, this is a faster car than my LSS supercharged elise was, it's just faster...

Who here has tracked their Emira?

I put some feedback and a track video here: https://www.emiraforum.com/threads/emira-track-impressions.5946/page-3#post-172943 On the road, the ride is harsh, but not horrible. On the track, it makes the car wake up. I no longer regret selling my Elise after this suspension upgrade.

I've now done a track day with the car on @GRP forged wheels, the Nitron ClubSport coilovers, and Dunlop Sport Maxx Race tires. The car is corner balanced and ride height is about 1.5cm below factory. The previous two track days made me regret selling my Elise, however, this one was so much...

The opposite here. Even with the touring suspension, making a passenger squeal and look for something to hold onto brings me boundless joy. Most people have no idea about how cars can corner.

Nitron Coilovers with front axle lift system

I neglected to weigh the Nitrons, but my box of coilovers weighs a LOT more with the OEM touring coilovers than when it was full of Nitrons. The difference is shocking. I'd guess it's 3-4lb lighter, each.

Is anyone here running Nitron Fastroad or Clubsport suspension?

It's too soon to tell, but it's more comfy than my Elise on its Nitrons and I drove that one for 16 years with them and loved it. I'll be driving 200 miles to the track so I'll form a strong opinion then. It's quite a bit firmer and you feel every crack in the road, unlike with the touring...

I just got a set of Nitron ClubSports without trying them, based on the excellent experience I had in my Elise. So far, only street driving, but I'm going to track it in a couple of days. On the street, it made the front end really come alive. The touring suspension that I had was very...

Modern engines are really impressive. They got impressive around 2003 with the incoming 2004 requirements and everything since has been better, but only by a tiny amount, since the net emissions post-2004 are very small in a car that's not broken. Of course, when people de-cat and tune cars...

I said the exhaust coming out on a "smoggy day" is cleaner than intake air, because the engine is catalyzing away all the ozone and NOx in the air, and emitting almost pure CO2 and water.

Who here has tracked their Emira?

Yes, I’m on OEM rotors but they don’t seem to have any weird deposits. I’m tracking the Nitron Clubsports on May 5, I’ll have some feedback then. I didn’t get the axle lift since it’s quite expensive and I’m not lowering the car.

    GiroDisc rotors

I had a similar experience in my Elise when I started to become a fast driver after a few years. My brakes were holding me back and the advice was to do a BBK in front, and relocate the front brakes to the rear, but with sintered metal pads, I could break traction on Yoko A005's when braking, so...

Who here has tracked their Emira?

By the time I tracked my Elise, people had figured all this stuff out, but with the Emira, I'm experimenting. I've tracked EBC RP1's once at this point, on fresh Castrol SRF at Laguna and I found the same as you guys are seeing; inconsistent pedal travel throughout the day. On my first track day, I tried EBC SR11 and those have WAY too high of a friction coefficient for this size of pad/rotor. Too much...

New V6 versus Turbo 4 video

I disagree with his conclusion, but then again, I chose a V6/MT as my car. He compares the exhaust note of the V6 in Tour mode versus the I4 in Track mode. That's kinda unfair. I agree that the I4 delivers power better and the DCT has more ratios and faster shifting, but the exhaust note is one...

What's crazy about it? I was oversimplifying, but when warm, and with a good condition catalyst, it will be very clean _most_ of the time. It's possible, but very expensive, and what makes it almost impossible is manual transmissions. 3200 lb cars aren't really momentum cars, they can't keep their momentum very well through turns. I love my Emira, but it can't hang with a real momentum car in the corners.
