American Collectors in PA
$1600/year for $110k in agreed value.
Which is almost 1.5% of value.
My other cars on the A/C policy work out to be about .05% of value.
I was told it's so high because it's a brand new model without an insurance payout history to go by.
I have a friend that buys big dollar cars like this as speculative investments.
He thought the car was great and would sing its praises.
But it was one of the only ones he's ever lost money on.
If nothing happens by March 14th I'll assuming it's just more Lotus BS.
If that's the case I'll be moving on to an MC20. The value on those things are dropping like the Indians Jones boulder.
Nothing Lotus says can be trusted.
Lotus says lots of lies
The original lie this car would be priced in the $80s.
My out the door price without taxes and tags is pushing $110k
Speaking of $110k.... Remember the original lie we were sold on that these would be in the 80s.
I thought "what an incredible bargain"
Now, I'm not so sure 🤔
I'm giving them until the Ides of March when driving season starts to kick in here in PA.
I have a bad feeling that this isn't going well and I'll be reinvesting my $110k elsewhere.
Ineos sold their first vehicles in Europe this past spring and in the US in November.
If a tiny little startup can get their sh*t through CARB then this is 100% on Lotus! 😡🤬
At this point I would cancel the order but there is literally no other car in this price point that I'm the least bit interested in.
Porsche, BMW, Audi 😴
C8 Corvette 🤮
"There is other testing and software updates that need to be completed,"
Anyone else heading over to the Porsche Cayman GTS 4.0 configurator as an alternative? 🤔
This is nuts!
I'm HIGHLY skeptical that FE1s will APPRECIATE by $12k to meet new car prices.
If you search any UK classifieds, these things are without a doubt depreciating like any other car on the secondary market.
I'm really regretting paying up for an FE2 just to get Atlantis Blue.
When these cars come on the secondary market, FE1s and FE2s will be worth the same. Basically all FE2s are throwing away an extra $12 grand in depreciation. 😭
