Saw a Hethel Yellow/red interior when on my vacation June 17th around 2pm in Lauterbrunnen Switzerland. Long way to go for me to see my first Emira in the wild outside of the factory where we were 9 days prior. Saw a lot of gawkers checking it out and snapping pics as they walked by.

Found a Seneca at Lowes (of all places) this weekend. Is pretty accurate since it has a bit of orange peel to the paint. ;) Mine is made by Kinsmart, but the scale is 1/34. Its also a pull back and go forward (not sure what that called) They also had a supposed to be DV but it looked black to...

I thought/hoped so too at first because was in traffic. Then it did it twice when no one was around...only when at stop.

Another Lotus quirk and feature apparently. On my 2nd dealer test drive when at a stop, the car's parking sensors would be beep one time for no reason. It did it 3 separate times whether in traffic or not. Backup alert not beeping is much more worrisome.

Congrats. Beautiful country for driving. Only a 1 year wait too. We poor USA buyers are jealous of your short 12 month wait. The wait was actually 'soon' in Lotus speak.

On part of the test drive, could you find a large parking lot with a downhill slope in part of it and drive that part in lot? Put the car in 2nd pointing downhill starting out and just drive around the open lot in 2nd to get the feel of the car etc.

What the process is starting to feel like for the NA customers.

The US is their biggest market but they sure aren't acting like they care about us. Since Geely owns Volvo they should have a few techs at each Volvo dealer get Lotus certified to expand dealer coverage for basic maintenance and warranty issues.

My dealer has received another roadshow car today that they will have for two weeks on showroom display and doing another round of test drives for deposit holders (i doubt anyone can drive it). Hopefully this a trend for other dealer showings. Havent heard how long I'll get to go over the car...

Wow now there's three of us. I'm going with Seneca. I almost went with Gator as well since I called most of the dealers in the East to see their situation. Gator told me at the time they expected a similar wait to Nashville based on deposits but nobody knew for sure since actual allocations...

I almost went to ATL to put my deposit down (fall 2021). The Lotus manager there seemed to know his stuff so hard to believe they cant tell you more based on their allocations. (which they should know). I deposited in Nashville since its closer and they had less deposits at the time than ATL...

Does the fuel gauge move below 1/3 once you get that real level in the tank? (if you let it go that far) Would probably say you have 0 range for a while. Probably a miswired level sensor on the sending unit or they bent the float arm putting it in the tank. They shoulda caught that in PDI.

I am pretty sure I'll stick with Seneca but the Atlantis blue looks nice and want to see a sample in person. Disappointed in the colors overall as they seem close to what was already there. I did notice they charge for the full black pack now. Didnt seem like that was a cost option before.

Maybe I'll get my car (2021 deposit) by then.

That 996 4S rear does look nice. We had a 996 and had the non curvy base car. Now have a 991C4S with the baby got back too. Helps the look. Disappointed all 911s are 'wide' now.

Just dont call the new concept the 6000 SUX. (movie ref)

I've been assured by Lotus it is arriving 'soon'. :p Soonest will be 29 months (would be Jan 2024) but expecting 36 months total wait. Several other fun cars but doesnt help with the wait much.

I'm 6'5.5". It was my biggest concern when I placed my deposit. Luckily I was able to sit in the roadshow car a few months later in dec21. They said the seats in that car werent at their lowest point yet but I still 'fit' relatively fine. They also said they had people up to 6'8 drive the car...

Not a fan of the Eletre and didnt think they'd get them made as soon as did. Hope that is a success for Lotus just so it firms up the company for what it means for Emira support. Maybe they'll actually add more dealers to the USA if a successful car.

I want Seneca myself by far over any of the other current colors. I've yet to see Seneca in person. Just Shadow and Yellow. The red does really look good though. I am torn on the interior options though. The white is too white and the tan is too orangey. Going to get see all when visit factory...

They should say you would get the car 'sooner' than expected for a bit of irony. Lotus's definition of soon has proven to be quite a wide range on uncertain time.

Occasional driver car. Also Pain and patience teaching device: Constant delays and terrible communication in what had hoped would be a great experience (in ordering a new car) :p

Probably the opposite in London as to the USA. C8s are common to see here. Emiras will be rare. One reason I dont want a C8 is they are too common to see here. If you really want acceleration get the C8.
