Paint blistering on the Rear Quarter Panel...!!! Am I the first??

Scroll down to the bottom. The basic warranty, Paint, and Anti-corrosion paragraphs appear after a flashy animation.

I thought that might be the case, mine was £624 with Admiral (Gold) in June. I hope Admiral keep being that competitive in the years to come.

Gap between door and rear quarter panel

Well, I've tried to take the picture as close to the same angle as yours and mine does look like the gap is smaller than yours at the top and indeed all along. What is the front of the door's fit like, is the gap smaller than the rear? Mine are the same. Have your doors been off or replaced to...

Apparently launched today by Lotus, UK only. Will be interesting to see how it compares to other insurers on cost etc. https://www.lotuscars.com/en-GB/lotus-car-insurance

Gap between door and rear quarter panel

Just measured the gaps on my doors front and rear and on both sides. They are a consistent 3 to 4 mm measured with one of those clear plastic rules and old eyes. Looks fine to me.

Paint blistering on the Rear Quarter Panel...!!! Am I the first??

The only way I could "easily" tell was to fully open the door and look at the drain hole at the very front bottom. By shining a light into the hole you can just about see the primer. On my 1st November 2023 build car it looks like it's the darker blue/black primer. 🤞 You may be able to see...

Paint blistering on the Rear Quarter Panel...!!! Am I the first??

It's been posted on this forum back in July that modified doors have been fitted since 14/06/2023. The later specification doors have a black/blue primer on the inside. If it's white primer you have the older doors. I had a Lotus employee say this to me also in September. The post is here...

Emira for Sale - DV over Tan V6 Manual Touring 2358 miles £68.5k

That's a tough question. There are a few just under £60k on Autotrader at the moment, one with the same mileage as yours, though no details yet. Your spec is good with the PPF etc. For an April 2023 car the mileage is good but there are others out there with similar. On price you will be...

PPF from factory that was not ordered??🤷🏼‍♂️

There are the small patches in front of the rear wheels and a couple of other small places but not the whole car.

    Battery chargers

There's never been any talk of the UK getting a charger, only the US. If you are after one the CTEK MXS5.0 I use works well with the M8 indicator quick connector. Also worth getting the extension lead. There is a post somewhere on the fitting of the quick connector leads.

Did someone steal my gas cap?

There doesn't look like there's any damage to the surrounding body so maybe not levered off. Definitely a tab thing is broken though. How annoying.

Yes, they fall off regularly. The next time it happens I will be using some Blu Tack.

If that happens I'll buy a second one for spare parts.

    Latest Emira Production Update

The First Edition model is fully loaded as far as options are concerned. If you look at the Emira configurator you can get an idea of what a base model could be by some of the options in the FE that are pre-ticked and can't be unticked. Things like Sports Pedals and Heated Seats etc. The seats...

What did you do to your Emira today?

I vacuumed out the drivers footwell for the first time as there was the usual gravel collecting. Just visible but tucked under the mat next to the pedals was this rubber thing. I immediately contorted myself to look above and around the pedals to see where it could have fallen from but nothing...

Lotus Certificate of Provenance!!! I finally received mine!!

Or the UK, which there should be V6 manual production in 2025 if my original order in January was to be honoured. Also the UK configuration website still says new orders would be delivered in 2025. Of course anything can change, it will be interesting to see how in pans out.

    Fitting a battery conditioner... Do's and Don'ts

You might get an amber light after one day if the battery wasn't fully charged previously. CTEK info: Red: means the battery charge is below 12.4 V. It’s definitely time to charge the battery. Yellow: means the battery charge is between 12.4 and 12.65 V. It’s time to start thinking about...

    Forum joining date coincidence

That's my 1970 Europa S2 that I bought in 1980. It's completely in bits with the body fully done and resprayed. There's a new chassis and suspension under there somewhere. Unfortunately I've now got to the stage where I find myself with not enough time or indeed the willingness to complete it so...

    Forum joining date coincidence

I have just realised that my forum joining date is one day after my car was built. 🤓 I joined back then because I wanted to see how people were getting on with their cars and what the issues might be. I had been on two factory tours in early 2022 and early 2023 to see them being built but hadn't...

Was there a miles/days number displayed and if so does it tally with the "Service due in" information? I have the opposite, as in I can only connect with Bluetooth for Android Auto. I've tried several different cables in both of the USB sockets in the armrest to no avail. Emiras waiting for shipping to USA

I like that yellow hanger on the mirror, it has the ACBC logo on it, nice touch. I'm guessing it says: Driver free brake pads. @Biggles of Norwich Did you get a better photo of this? Also that build sheet of the V6 going to Canada says no DAB radio - is that not a thing in Canada?

Newbie with some used Emira UK purchasing questions

I set up a user profile and password protected it only to realise you would have to select it each time you got in and key in your password.
